I read somewhere that he played left back for the barcodes as well and was just as good. Is that true? Did anyone see him play there and was he good? If he is quick and agile I suppose it sounds like that could be true. I know it's not always the case but if he's left footed it sounds better again.

Could be good cover if they still feel Bale is too wet behind the ears or dare I say it he could even take over that slot if he's 'got the lot' so to speak.

I haven't taken any notice of the bloke at all, its a shame he is suspended for the first two games of the season as it looks like we need him.

Also he will be at the african cup of nations come January time I believe? So I hope we aint left with cb problems. But I've only heard good things about him and I do trust Harry when it comes to scouting players on a budget.

8mill for a young, quick, strong 23 yearold cb?

I saw him play there i think against stoke and he looked quite impressive, good on the ball and sharp in the tackle. Wasent easy to assess his defensive qualities as stoke play four central midfielders and no wingers, lawrence was injured. Not brilliant going forward but id say he could do a very good job there if needed.
