Hi guys, Im new to the forum & just like to say hi to everyone!!

I have read a few bits on here & seen what ppl have been saying about Carrick. Just wondered what everyone now thought after what Michael said about us on the official website, now he has left the club?

"I'd like to thank the fans as they've been fantastic to me as well. This is a football decision, a decision not driven by money. It's an offer that has come at the right time for me both professionally and personally and I felt I couldn't turn it down.

"I've had a great time at Spurs and the Club has been brilliant for me. There is an excellent squad full of top players and a number of younger lads coming through the ranks as well. I can only see successful times for the Club in the future."

I did think I would bear a big grudge against michael for leaving but I am surprised how complimentary he has been towards us & certainly did not expect to see that!! It has now changed my view of him a bit more.

So pls post any thoughts etc...

Cheers!!

i think the club are trying to show a positive vibe, we don't want players leaving and bitching about the club and staff. it's the least he could do for us really but i would like to think he meant it. he's gone from being a reserve player to roy keane's replacement within 18 months. let's hope he's not too succesfull there.

i have to say i hope we'll find someone to spray his passes about, it does give you a buzz watching good football. distinct lack of it yesterday but i'm hopeful for hudds, zokora and ghaly.

So we have Taino and Ghaly as play anywhere guys. As both have appeared at RB and LM successfully, it is not inconceivable they can also adept at LB and RM with equal success. Indeed, Taino I believe did have some games last season as RM.

We now have a team of specialists like Lennon and Defoe and some good versatile players as well. As the season wears on, injuries and loss of form will be more easily dealt with.

Amen to that.
