We need a cm more than we need Hunts now imo (unless JoH is given a chance and does the business like he's done in half his games in cm), but yes of course I would welcome it. However, I'm sure Crouch will do very well for us too.

I'd also like Bassong/Dunne, then I'm pretty much a happy camper and look forward to the season with great optimism.

I think it's pretty much down to Levy and Hunts at this stage. And scum are sniffing, but that is all they are doing apparently.

His wages are huge, we have a budget and it's better not to mess with it imo or you can end up with existing players demanding more or a circus like Newcastle.

If they can get Madrid to pay a bit of it I'm sure a deal can be done. Then you just hope Arsenal don't come in with their cl footy and turn his head.

I don't believe the problem is the transfer fee on this occassion, unlike Arshavin. They certainly made a holy mess of that one as he was worth the 20 million or what ever they were demanding and more actually since he imo is one of the best players in the world.

Depends how long Levy is going to drag the Bent saga on for...Jesus do the deal and lets move on to other targets. If Levy is going right to the wire with this which will impact on what business we can get done it wont make much sense. If we bought the Hunter then i could only see Pav going. Im not sure (yes even us) would be stupid enough to pay £12m for Keane in January, and then sell him 8 months later. I could only see Pavy going, though would like to see him given a chance.
