Just listened to the interview with BMJ on the BBC website and he said that we're still trying to add more players and hinted we were after a bit of change to the team. He said Zokora is replacing Carrick "so nothing different", that Mido went and Berby came "so nothing different". Seems we're looking for what we were lacking last season.... pace on the left anyone?

Sounded like we're still looking hard and did anyone notice we've left the number 2 and 11 shirts untaken.... sounds like a new Right Back and Left winger/midfielder could be on their way. Fingers crossed!

COYS!

Interesting about the shirts. Knowing that makes me think we have someone big in mind who will sweetened with the fact that they get their desired shirt number.

Still a month to go and I think there is going to be lots of activity in the Premier League,

Hope so. With 2 full months before the transfer window closes, speculation will only increase (if that's possible !!).

lots rumours about tim borowski on the spursweb board. better known as 'the dude'.

He was good for Germany during the WC, not amazing, but I especially liked the way he kept his cool to slot home his penalty against Argentina and then mocked them by putting his finger to his mouth in a 'shut your ****ing face' gesture.

Borowski was good most of last season for Werder, but was very poor in the world cup.. And he's not a left winger...

I wouldn't say poor mate...I'm sure he crossed for Klose to equalise against the Argies, and scored a penalty under pressure, he didn't really get the chance to shine, he was a sub nearly every game, think he only started the Italy game coz Frings was banned....

And the opening game against Costa rica where he was poor too.. Wasn't playing half as good as he did last season for Werder..

I thought Germany looked poor in general after the first game

Ronaldo!?! I bloody hope not!

The Petrov rumours seem to have gone quiet. Anyone in the know?

Was probably a load of pie. Ask Spur, he seems to be ITK. Oh, and while I remember Spur, are we still to expect Chimbonda to sign, like you said?!

Does anyone think Downing would be a good
addition to our squad?

Not by much, and surely not worth 10+million.

Not at all. I would personally be quite disappointed if the club announced his signing.

I am a fan of Downing and think he would be excellent for us.

Not sure he's the answer. He really disappointed me in the WC. I think if he really had it he'd have showed it at the WC. To me, the big stage and big games are a test of how good a player really is, and he was okay. Lennon, on the other hand, showed just how good he is going to become. I predict in the next two years he will become one of the best three wide players in the world.:) Maybe, he already is one of them!

Downing has very good delivery, and is the kind of player who would just constantly rain crosses into the box. I wouldn't mind having him as long as it was for a good price.

downing is a basic push and run player.. no speed not many ways to get passt a player= not a lot of skill. not a lot of dif between he and reto.. he had plenty chances at boro... 12 mil... yeah well worth every penny....weve seen the best of downing i beleive.. he a local boy and is good 4 boro... we need a tre power wide man who can beat a player and cross and shoot... personally id love brian babel...can do everyting...power can run has great skill can cross shoot and head the ball, plus can play upfront... what mor do u want ? a spurs brown and gold kit..

People forget Reto is at least as good as Downing, Pedersen, Barry and other players like that. We want an already develped top drawer left winger.
