Pretty darn good stats for Negredo considering he aint playing for a big side. Anyone(Gomessi) know how many starts Huntelaar made for Mardid last season?

Forlan got 32, holy crap..:scared:

Forlan is class mate; although all I remember him for was that miss for Man Utd from about 1 yard. Achimovic style!

I believe Huntelaar made 12 starts and scored 8, but we need our spanish correspondant (el gomessi) to confirm.

Huntelaar was a bit part player for Madrid though and only played 11 games, so 8 goals in 11 games is prolific really.

19 for Negredo in a sh!t team is good going too though.

Yeah I thought that was the case with Huntelaar just wanted to know how many starts he actually made.

Personally I would love either them...first choice would be Huntelaar.

Huntelaar is miles out in front for first choice for me.

Haven't seen enough of Negredo to make a proper judgement.

Same here tbh. Huntelaar is proven talent in two leagues and international level.

Wherever he has played he has averaged just over 1 every 2 games. Thats a great record so I would absolutely love it we signed him.

And hes just an out and out intelligent striker, exactly the type of player that Modric and Keane would love to play alongside.

Any scoring ratios in Holland should be disregarded, they mean nothing. Afonso Alves scored more in one game for Heerenveen than he did for Boro this season.

Agreed...through an amazing sequence of coincidences, i once stumbled in a marijuana-induced fug onto the pitch during a second round cup game between ADO Den Haag and NEC Breda.

I scored 4 and was hailed as the new Cruyff.

Well i think huntelaar is international quality also and negrado isnt!
If we are spending the same amount Huntelaar is my main man!

BTW how many pens did negrado score? He is also a big fish in a small pond (almeria) and when he moves to a quality club he will be a small fish like bentley etc and that can affect confidence and the amount of games started.

With huntelaar he will be a big player without being short of confidence and probably starts most games. This man has also played in the champs league so not short of experience against better opposition.
I just dont want a Bent/pav scenario where we spend a lot of money on a half decent striker and not play them regularly.
With huntelaars name and history i cud see him starting often and thats what we need our strikers to do to allow consisitency!

He has the same record in spain and at International (Full & U21) level. The guy is class mate.
