The Young stuff is probably a load of rubbish but a lot of people are still staying he is our number one target. Unless Harry has convined Levy to put down a monster offer. I actually think Young would come to us, but Oneill wont have it. I think we have a bigger future than Villa with our new stadium and all being built.

Yeah but does being a die-hard Spurs fan have anything to do with that belief?

I can see where Young would want to go, and even though I'm a die-hard Spurs fan, Spurs isn't on that list.

@gomessi: October apparently. Deal done, but I don't imagine Villa make the first payment until he starts playing, possible not until January. Boro would be happy to get him off the wage bill. That's how it works, some give and take.

I am just glad that at last I can stop worrying we are going to buy Downing who I think would have been as big a disaster for us as Bentley has been.

Oh God yes! Been saying it for a while that anyone with attacking nous on the left is what we need (I know Modric is good BUT he always wants to cut inside) - I'd like to see GDS out there for a couple of the warm-up games . . . but I'd LOVE to see Young there!
