Just glad it's all over, we got top dollar for him and now it's time to give Huddlestone his chance and buy a top drawer left wing and right back. I really

well it was odd we didn't offer him a contract when we did daws and lennon, so i think we had his departure as a posibility. i think it was only his last few games that showed his attacking ability, maybe as he was playing for his place in the england squad, or for a move. Either way carrick wasn't the goal scoring genious we'd all like him to be, hudds and zokora will step up i'm sure. if we got over 15m to ourselves, it's fantastic business. gutted to see lua lua sign a new deal at pompey, but on the plus side, davies signed a new deal at west brom.
