just my opinion...please no! for years i've been telling my sons what an awkward lanky overrated bastard he is... especially when we had berba, keano and defoe up front and had a forward line respected by all. i could never understand why the scouse picked him up (although i do acknowledge his goal per game ratio was ok there). i can just see me now making excuses to the offspring if harry picks him up. i really feel quite sick at the thought. surely, surely we can do better.....:crying:

I agree with all of the above, crouch would be an excellent signing. Dont forget he got a hat-trick against the gooners in the prem not that long ago:drool:

Crouch on the cheap would be a good signing - provide a different option to what we have now and I keep being pleasantly surprised when I see him play (mind you, that could be because my expectations are so low - kinda Bambi on ice image).

I just remember last time praying that we didnt sign Crouch or Heskey and then watching them go on to score a hatful!

If we ship on Bent and Pav, we will need someone taller than the average blade of grass upfront - Crouch would certainly fit that!
