Because Carrick's a c*nt and I have no idea about Zokora. Carrick should not be allowed to play until everything is sorted out, why should we give him match practice, benefitting United, potentially?!? It could backfire but he's made it pretty clear he wants to go....

Has he tho? I wouldn't be suprised if he turned round and signed a new 50k a week deal, then everyone slagging him would feel a bit shit. I mean he's only been back training for a few days.

i don't think carrick is worth a new top contract. he still has much to prove going forward, and we have two very good replacements for him so why burden the club with his wages. sell him for 15m and move on.

he did well in the stiffs last year and looked busy in a couple of subs appearances. i can't see him getting a look in though. he'll be loaned and then sold just like marney.

Yes but Defoe has been with Spurs for the whole pre season and is only coming out now with comments. I say lets see if Carrick plays against Inter, give him a good reception, then maybe he'll make a statement. It could be that Carrick is holding off to see if wants WANT £15-20m for him first. If the club say yeah thats a good offer he'll go, if not i can't see him saying 'i want to leave'.

It's obvious he wants to go. He has said today that Manchester appeals to him because it's near home and he wants to play CL this year. Martin Jol made it clear that he would like to hold onto him. Probably because we don't need to sell any players. I reckon if Carrick said he wanted to stay MJ would turn even turn down 17 mil.

But I think it is fine if he goes. We're well covered.
