Well, amusing it is; but seriously, I think we'll make 4th and challeging hard for 3rd.

I don't see why the press are wetting themselves over Liverpool. On paper we are more or less equal interms of strength of squad and first team, I think the fight for third place will be the stroy of this season with us, the scousers, the goons and possibly Blackburn challenging for third.

Agree with you mate... Can't see why people are talking about Liverpool as a championship challenging team... Okay, they have stevie G, but there strikers aren't that impressive and neither is their fullbacks...

I think we will at least be challenging for a 4th spot, if not 3rd or 2nd... I might be dreaming, but i really believe in this team and that Jol can make us an European top team...

I would snap your hand off if you offered me 4th place! I'm confident we're improving but I have to say I think Man U and Liverpool might still be a bit ahead of us and the Arse will surely improve on their woeful (by their recent standards) season. I think we'll have to fight hard for 4th, but with this team we could do it!

couldnt help noticing the potential surprise for blackburn of Paul Dickov. certainly will be a surprise as he plays for Man City

Think if we can beat last seasons points total and maybe get into the 70 pts
plus bracket that'll be a great season. When you look at the last minute points lost last season it's v possible and should be enough for top 4.
No one apart from Chelski has strengthend as much as us so i reckon anywhere from 2nd to 5th possible.

Liverpool will show this season just how strong they will be. I said they would get second last season...they defo will this.

Well, what I would say is, we are as strong this season as the chasing three and if we sign some more valuable additions we could put up some kind of title challenge.

liverpool will win the league (rafa is the only coach so far to have really gotten under moanrinhos skin) and we'll finish above arsenal.

Is this what you're thinking?

1 Liverpool
2 Chelsea
3 ManUre
4 Tottenham
5 Arsenal

I'd be happy with that although I'm going to have to be greedy and say I'm hoping for 3rd with Man Utd 4th. That would be sweeeeeeet!

Talk of title challenges, de-throning Man Utd AND Scum... lets wait til the season starts before making these assumptions!

No title challenge for me, fourth should be ours, but I would not be surprised if we finished third. actually, I would be delighted!!!

oh, while I remember, can anyone tell me what IIRC stands for?
