just flicked over to the arsenal game and saw the width of the pitch, christ that thing is wide, something tells me lennon is going to have a blinder against them next year, especially if cole goes and i would be happy to stick a tenner on him leaving.
enough about the scum berbatov sounded awesome today and does anyone know where i can see the goals?

I'm convinced a lot of Arsenals success was down to the fact they had the smallest pitch in the Premiership and as someone said earlier, with all that width I hope to hear they are losing a lot more than they used to.

the width of the pitch will seriously aid the scums home form due to the way they play.
im also watchin SSN to see the goals, dunno when the **** they'll show them and shut up about bloody cricket. and for some reason they showed the bolton - burnley highlights before us. the liverpool highlights before our i can understand but bolton, what the ****

The reason they played so well at home was due to that pitch. Now they are ****ed. And just let one in.

It'll be interesting watching Arsenal next season. I think it could help them or screw them. Not sure yet.
They basically are successful in the prem because they mastered the 200 miles per hour prem games. There is lots of breaking ball and the ball is given away in the middle quite a bit too, especially by poor teams. They go bang, bang, bang and somebody with pace is away, usually Henry.
They're usually rubbish in Europe because it is a possesion game and Arsenal essentially play brainless ice hockey football. You can't just play break away football at the higher levels/in slower paced leagues. They were totally blessed last year to get to CL final, they played rubbish teams or teams in utter disarray and then Villareal deserved to beat them.
Very interesting to see how the new pitch effects them.

i think the new pitch will help them a lot, they like to play wide stuff spreading the play a lot and this new pitch will help them do it.
just a thought but does anyone know why their arent regulation size pitches, why are some pitches longer, shorter, wider etc than others

I think there are regulation guidelines and that's it. It might not be practical or something to have exact pitch sizes. Since so many pitches and stadia were just built... some even for different sports... and then used for football. Changing them now would cause a lot of problems.
I could be wrong but I think that's the situation.
