Doesnt it look cheap and desperate when a club say 'interested parties should contact newcastle united at admin@nufc.co.uk'

Why does a club for sale need their contact email to put in an offer! It should be be easy to contact the club and submit an offer.

All they've done is leave themselves open to the possibilty of getting millions of emails:lol:

Just sent my email to admin@nufc.co.uk. I reckon the inbox will be pretty full soon:laugh:

I set up a new email account pretending to be an arab guy on the board of the Saudi Oil giant Saudi Atamco. My name is Khalid A. Al-Falih Rahman. Never know it might work Sven got tricked by an Arab :001_smile:

Ok here is the email

Dear Sir

As-Salamu Wa-Alaykum (Peace be upon you)

This email confirms your and our mutual intentions with respect to the potential transaction described herein between Saudi Aramco and Newcastle United Football Club.

Saudi Aramco can afford to offer £100m without having to be part of a consortium so there is potential for a quick sale.

Before we do that we must undertake the due diligence process so I would need a copy of the 2007-08 audited accounts. I also need to know if there is any debt off the books. There have been many cases of businesses moving debt off their books while secretly still being on the hook for the debt. The most common method was to set up an outside investment partnership.

Saudi Aramco is engaged in the management of onshore and offshore oil fields (such as those located at Ghawar and Safaniya), petrochemical research and development and operates its own fleet of oil tankers. Saudi Aramco is responsible for 99 percent of the Kingdom's proven crude oil reserves of 259 billion barrels (41.2 1010m³) about a quarter of the world's total conventional oil reserves

Saudi Aramco ranks among the top ten companies in gas production worldwide. The company is also a leader in both the production and export of natural gas liquids (NGL), and a major producer of refined products. The company produces natural gas in association with crude oil and nonassociated gas from deep, independent gas fields.

The "FT's Non-Public 150" by the Financial Times and McKinsey - the study of the world’s largest unlisted companies - found that Saudi Aramco is worth an estimated $781 billion USD, dwarfing the $454 billion USD market capitalisation of its rival ExxonMobil (published: December 2006).

The attachment contains the terms and conditions

1. Prices and Terms . We envisage that the principal terms of the proposed transaction would be substantially as follows:

(a) Business to be Acquired; Liabilities to be Assumed . We would acquire substantially all of the assets, tangible and intangible, owned by Newcastle United Football Club that are used in, or necessary for the football club.
(ii) any and all customer lists; and (iii) the goodwill associated therewith, all free and clear of any security interests, mortgages or other encumbrances.

(b) Consideration . The aggregate consideration for the assets and business to be purchased would be £100,000,000; provided, however, that the working capital (current assets less current liabilities) of the business to be purchased equals or exceeds $0, as shown on a closing date balance sheet prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

(c) Due Diligence Review . Promptly following the execution of this letter of intent, you will allow us to complete our examination of your financial, accounting and business records and the contracts and other legal documents and generally to complete due diligence. Any information obtained by us as a result thereof will be maintained by us in confidence subject to the terms of the Confidentiality Agreement executed by the parties and dated when the deal is agreed in principle(the “Confidentiality Agreement”). The parties will cooperate to complete due diligence expeditiously.

(d) Conduct in Ordinary Course . In addition to the conditions discussed herein and any others to be contained in a definitive written purchase agreement (the “Purchase Agreement”), consummation of the acquisition would be subject to having conducted your business in the ordinary course during the period between the date hereof and the date of closing and there having been no material adverse change in your business, financial condition or prospects.

(e) Definitive Purchase Agreement . All of the terms and conditions of the proposed transaction would be stated in the Purchase Agreement, to be negotiated, agreed and executed by you and us. Neither party intends to be bound by any oral or written statements or correspondence concerning the Purchase Agreement arising during the course of negotiations, notwithstanding that the same may be expressed in terms signifying a partial, preliminary or interim agreement between the parties.

(f) Employment Agreement . Simultaneously with the execution of the Purchase Agreement, we would enter into employment agreements with Paul Smith and John Halper on such terms and conditions as would be negotiated and agreed by them and us, including mutually agreeable provisions regarding term, base and incentive compensation, confidentiality, assignment to us of intellectual property rights in past and future work product and restrictions on competition. We would also offer employment to substantially all of Seller’s employees and would expect the management team to use its reasonable best efforts to assist us to employ these individuals.

g) Timing . We and you would use all reasonable efforts to complete and sign the Purchase Agreement on or before 16th June 2009 because we feel it is important to give the new manager time to sign players before the start of the season.

Yours Sincerly
Khalid A. Al-Falih Rahman

Jazakallahu Khayran (May Allah reward you for the good)

That is written in commercial law style, I would say a bit of copying and pasting was applied with a touch of relevant editing.

Funnily enough my uncle is the legal and commercial director for a huge Saudi Company....Khalifia A.Algosaibi Holding Co.

To quote Kryten of Red Dwarf fame; "I realise that technically that that was only 1 point, but I felt it was such a big one, it was saying twice."

And unless you laptop, server and ISP are ALL using static IP addresses for your specific broadband account, your IP address will only be temporary anyway and could be anyone.

I know for a fact that if they want to find out where a specific email was sent, they can trace the ip address, server or whatever. A friend of mine got himself inmto alot of trouble for doing something similar.:scared:

What the f*ck are they playing at anyway? What sort of a shithole joke club advertises a contact address to contact if you're interested in buying? What sort of retard idea is that? It doesn't take half a brain cell to know that they'll get a million fake/abusive emails
