we'll get the L/M problem sorted by the beginning of the season, Commoli is in France on club business as we speak so i'm lead to belive, we need to trust Joll & Commoli they will deliver.

Commoli got Zokora before our rivals knew it was happening.

What position does the youngstar Ben Arfa play?

can play left wing or down the middle, don't think Houlier will be selling though

wilhemsson was rumoured to be going to nantes, didn't hear if it finally happened. not sure if he's a proper left winger though, on the plus side he's very quick and can play right across so might be ok. ben arfa is too small for me, i think he'd get the crap kicked out of him in the prem.

No Nantes did...

I would suggest a danish player I really rates Thomas Kahlenberg... You may not know him, but he came from Brondby to Auxerre before last season.. And was voted second best buy that season and made more assist then any other player that season plus scoring 7 goals.. Milan shortlisted him as the second best young player in the french league... He can play out left, play on the right, attacking midfielder or as a second striker... He's 22 and besides having all the skills a topclass winger has he's a deadball specialist too...

The future of the danish national team(and maybe spurs:p )...

Kahlenberg is arguably the best player of Auxerre...How much should we pay for him?

well hopefully our little jaunt out there will have raised our profile quite a bit, especially as we beat bordeaux. he sounds like a good player that kahlenberg. i can feel a search on youtube coming on. Doesn't look like we'll be hsipping reid out this window, he's long term injured again. His fridge fell on top of him probably. I still think jon greening would do a good job on the left.

It's a shame about duff as he is an established premiership player. But i believe if we wanted him then we could of got him ( unless liverpool really wanted him too) so that leaves me to suggest that we are monitoring a left winger.

But what gets me is that, what other left wingers around are better than duff? He's got experience and he's a great age 27 were his best years ahead of him....why buy someone who will be a gamble? Like ben arfa???????

we probably have 5-10 targets and it's all about value at the end of the day. I don't think duff would have been worth more than 6-7m to buy, and even then you have to pray he doesn't get injured, which as he gets older, he's more likely to do. On the other hand, spending 5m on ben arfa isn't justified. Look at reid. It could be we'll play with one big striker, with barnard as his cover, and the other 3 will play off or wide. In which case i expect to see the likes of lua lua come in.

fat boy is out for another 3-4 weeks with yet another injury. so that really means 6-7 weeks for him so he aint gona be fit the start of the season plus hes gona pile on even more pounds (or stone) sat on the sidelines again. what a complete waste of money he has been. we need this left sided problem sorted and FAST!

i think Juan Pablo Sorin is worth a shout. he could do a great job for a few years. although he is, by trade a LB, he is very forward going and can play LM. i think playing a LM rather than a LW would give us more balance as we will definately play a winger down the right. also his defensive capabilities make him a much better allrounder, and he is available and wouldnt break the bank at all

i think we have the left back position sorted, unless jol wants to use lee as cover for right back now. i would expect us to bid for bridge if he comes available, as he's one of the best left backs in the game. i think we like to buy english as long as there is no drop in quality and he fits into that.

i wasnt sayin Sorin for LB, but for LM

if bridge was rated that good chelsea wud be using him beleive me... they r now seekin 2 left backs wat does that say about bridge ... very over rated.. not a stitch on juan pablo sorin... y didnt he even get a game in world cup... not realy good enuff.. suspect defensively and no pace over the distance.. weak in the tackle.. jus my opion but next time he gets a game watch him closely then make ur own opionion

well i thought bridge was excellent against spurs for fulham, and i also thought he played well in one of the warm up's for the world cup. It's opinion i know. Incidently i can't stand sorin, he's slow and the biggest diver / play acter i've seen. he should play for arsenal.

I like Sorin. I think he'd be a super signing. Technically excellent, aggressive Argentinian, also very verstale. Hmm... buying an Argentinian. The good days are coming back alright.

I've honestly forgotten what Bridge is as a player. It's been ages since I've seen him play. He is good on the ball though I remember that. Neil McNab are you maybe being a little Mike Marsh?

Wayne bridge is a very good left back, the only reason chelsea are looking at 2 more left backs is because they feel that they need a 'star name' in every position. Bridge for 4 or 5 million would be a great buy.

no not bein a bit marshie...when last did he play ... and wat is suprising is that n e 1 wud pay 4 or 5 mil 4 a player who wont cant play a whole season .. id expect bridge to play 15 games the most...... if we compaed him 2 sorin it wud be a 1 horse race...wat has he realy done from he left soton all those years ago???? atleast 4 5 seasons ago....chelsea play an agressive centre back .. at left bak b 4 they risk playin bridge there... speaks volumes... remember real madrid play owen last 12 -15mins of a game y do u think.. he got goals and found space... as we c 4 england he only does it durin the last quarter of games...goto be observant and make good opionions
