So it is official that he really is having a medical which I assume is different to the medical he had at Spurs at the start of the week.

I'm gutted really, only because he is the player in what I think is our weakest position and with him we really would be stepping up.

Why he is considering Newcastle I will never know, I don't think for one minute it is for football reasons so it might be because it is closer to home and salary. We know Newcastle pay over the odds for players (just look at Owen).

Maybe there was some truth in our bid and these so called ITK Spurs fans had something right that we had bid on him but maybe we said £5M and no more.

Oh well, we will never know but maybe he will fail his medical.
