how far do you think we r off from winning the title,we are getting there especially with sir jol in charge but to win the title and become champions we still need a couple of world class players,i just cant wait for when we do become champions as i will abuse the filth more than i ever have before COYS

Bit ahead of yourself there, but I can't lie, I am thinkin about it too, and if the squad we currently have clicks immediately, then I reckon it could be as early as next season (2007-8).
I expect us to mount a serious CL challenge (top4spot) this season at the very least, i.e. I would not be surprised if we finished higher than 4th, but I am not predicting it either.
I would, however, be not only surprised but gutted if we finish any lower than 5th this coming season.

i believe that we will again finish 5th this season which hurts to say although i also believe that if berbatov says he wil score 15-20 and does so then top 4 could be realistic i also dnt fink we av a chance of winning league for another 3 seasons!!!
Although yes agreed a team to be proud of!!! Whooooooooooooooo

Agreed hastings, only been a spurs fan 12 years (I'm 21) but this is without a doubt the best team we've had in my time. I'm very excited about finally challenging the 'big boys' and being able to join in the banter with my mates, who have always supported top teams such as Man U, Chelscum, and as much as I hate to say it, Arsenal.
Previously I have had to endure listening to which world class player their team is buying and how far will they get in Europe etc etc, finally I can join in! It's great!

I think we have almost everything in place: a sound management structure, an intelligent and personable manager that the players clearly respect (vital - remember Gross?), a young, largely British and exciting squad bolstered by some talent with European experience (Davids, Zokora, Berbatov), European football again to raise our profile to early 80s levels, a healthy bank balance to further strengthen when the right players become available, a sensible and forward thinking transfer strategy, solid financial management that includes a sensible wage structure and a sudden propensity for pulling off superb deals (sponsorship with Mansion, kit deal with Puma), all underpinned by a tradition of playing flair football and with a fanatical, worldwide support.
Al lthat is missing for me is a 21st century stadium (may sound irrelevant, but increased gates mean bigger speninG power, profile etc) and the one intangible thing that money cannot buy and Spurs have sorely lacked for almost two decades......
Consistency.:D
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

completely agree our consistency is awful and we also have to cut out some of the sloppy defeats we get to teams like west brom when kanu scored two and need to start beatin a few more teams by more goals i cnt recall when we scored more than 3 goals last season which is awful!!! also the ground situation is definately a thing to look at we cud easily fill a 50,000 seater which wud b great!!!!!!!

you know i reckon winning the CL is easier than winning our title , honest.
the Prem League is the hottest league going and to win it you need what 25 wins against some serious opponents as many raise their games against the higher teams, to win the CL you only need maybe max 8 wins the rest can be draws or low loses in the two legged affairs or group stages
Mj said within 3 years and thats good enough for me

We're two and a half players away from challenging for the title. Atop class RB and LW plus a real classy AM who could dribble his way in a la Gazza. The reason why I say half is that Jenas may answer the bell but we need to see if he can do it if given the role. He has the pace and the sense to arrive in the box at the right time, but right now he lacks the really close control that you see in the Latin players to really get through a mass of legs in a crowded penalty box. Hope he can acquire that skill with our ball trickster coach.
