Ok, need some advice from the regulars here. For sake of arguement im going to use out 1st home game v Sheffield United...

Currently i AM a member of Spurs, so the on sale ticket date for this game is the 17th of July (Yesterday). By the time tickets go on sale to teh general public (27th) 10 or so days later are the games usually all sold out?

Why i'm asking is, i live in Belfast, and for me to book flights about 2-3 months in advance will only cost me £35, whereas if i wait until the ticets go on sale, even for members) flights will have risen to around £90.

So im wondering can you guys tell me, if you ring up at 9.30/10am on the day the MEMBERS tickets go on sale, are you more or less guraenteed to get one? This means i could book my flights well in advance and by safe in knowing i've a 90%+ chance of getting tickets if im on the phone as soon as they go on sale. And you opinions on all matchs is welcome, ie Arsenal at home etc cheers.

I've only just become a member this season (due to problems getting tickets last season), but I would say yes to the above question. Every game I tried to get tickets to last season, as a non-member, I actually managed to get them, all be it that they may have been restricted view, or not sitting together. So as a member I would imagine you shouldn't have any problems getting a ticket if you phone up at 10am on sale day.

Good luck getting a ticket for the first home game of the season!!!!

I know it may seem like an obvious suggestion, but have you tried the Belfast supporters club (I assume there is such a thing)? I would expect that they will have some sort of allocation. I happen to know that the Norweigan branch book there trips months in advance and I very much doubt that they are season ticket holders.

What makes you say that, last season I wasn't even a member but managed to get tickets easily to that one. What howler Schwarzer made that day!

Really? I'm a season ticket holder so it doesn't affect me, but loads of my mates always try to get tickets for the first game and none of them ever do. Maybe it's just an excuse?!

Lol, ha ha! Your so-called friends are making excuses!

TBH, Iwas shocked at how easily I got the tickets last year, with it being Davids debut and all. I day I will never forget, Spurs were top of the league at the end of it.

Using the internet makes getting tickets so much easier.

I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to prove everyone wrong but....

I only got the internet a few months ago, when I was getting my tickets last season, I had to use the old dog and bone for them, and still didn't have much trouble getting them, as long as I wasn't fussy about where I sat.

Thing about teh net is, i think the online booking service only becomes active when tickets go on sale to the general public.....during members dates i think you have to ring up.....because Sheff United is on sale 17th of July, but the website seatbooker thing isn't letting you book for it until the 27th (non-members) on sale date.....

Are you logging in to Seatbooker using your membership number? Because I just this minute went to have a look and I was able to use it to buy tickets for the Sheff. Utd. game, so you should be able to.

When you sign in make sure you use the log in box on the left and not the right.
