Surely he has had enough starts? What is he monaing about, Bent is hardly on the bench, and when he is playing, hes the most frustrating player on the pitch in my opinion.

he's got every right to moan... 16 goals & our top goal scorer!!!.... says everything.
dont you remember when defoe wasn't in the team... refused to sign a contract.. i'm off her, i'm off there!!!! we eventually moved him on because he wouldn't sign a contract while he wasn't in the team, he was prepared to run his contract down & leave for free & possibly we would have had another judas type situation.

up to now bent has just shut his gob & got on with it.
trouble with bent is he doesn't go out to flashy clubs with celebrity birds with false tits & seek the limelight etc etc...
defoe's miss's a complete sitter v portsmouth in the first half & all you get is unlucky jermain, hard luck, good try!!!!.

look at any stats... you'll find bents record as good as any!!!.

We all know what he can do but for some reason, despite goals even, it isn't really working out. He'll do fantastic at somewhere like Sunderland, Portsmouth even when players can lump it in front of the defenders for him to run onto.

Go this summer with no hard feelings, is what I'm trying to say.

Those quotes are hardly moaning, and given that he's our top scorer, I can see why he feels entitled to start more often! I never cease to be amazed at the way Spurs fans think of him no matter how many goals he scores. He's not pretending to be Keane or Modric, he's just a goalscorer. He scores lots of goals. Criticising him for bad link up play is like criticising Lennon for bad tackling. He's not a link up player, he's a great goalscorer - he's scored more than JD this season, and yet when JD was scoring for Pompey, everyone said "I can't believe we've sold Defoe and kept Bent, look at Defoe now." I don't know what Bent has to do to be appreciated.

I think he is having a bitch and he needs to shut the fu.ck up, the sitters he has missed this season are innumerate and he is inexplicably keeping a better striker out of the team in pav.

He's trying to get a move away and that should be fine by all of us

irrespective of what i think of him as a player , i think he has been a model pro since he has been here , and cant fault him for his willingness to do whats best for the team withiout bitching about it , doing the donkey work .

It sounds more like frustration than moaning, All Bent has to do is prove himself on the pitch, yes he is our top scorer, however, he has missed quite a few sitters too.

I don't like to see any of our players unhappy or failing to meet their own as well as our expectations. Bent came here as one of the top strikers in England for a huge fee, which was pressure enough, but had to cope with another top english striker, as well as 2 of the top strikers in Europe!!

After selling all 3, he got his chance, and with 16 goals this season I'd say he's done his fair share to convince me. Yes his finishing is sporadic and he could have twice that now, but then again he still hasn't had a smooth run of form to get the sharpness required for that. Defoe came in and got 3 or 4 in as many games(?) but then he'd been playing every game for Pompey up until then.

I do agree that Pav looks like a better player than Bent, but seems to run on confidence. Get a proper summers break under him and a proper pre-season and I think we'll have a new player.

I still say keep all 4 strikers. That's how many you need to compete at the top and on 4 different fronts these days. Each one offers something different, which to an astute and tactically minded manager is a blessing. Whether Harry is that tactically astute I'm not that sure (he seems more a man management type of guy).
