56,000 odd seater stadium, located pretty much exactly at WHL.

Levy wants a 'tighter bowl' to keep the atmosphere :)

Not bad :001_rolleyes:

Its a 58, 000 seater stadium, but I'm not bothered as long as its over 55,000 and hopefully we can keep that great atmosphere.

:001_smile: It will be fantastic especially for the community. I will miss white hart lane but if your gonna rebuild a new stadium than thats the way to do it. I hope it looks better in real life and they better put the Cockerell which is above the lane now on top of the new one.

Lets hope the name don't suck. :001_rolleyes: When the naming rights contract ends they better call it White Hart Lane!!!!

Saw it in the paper today! Looks very cool indeed; not an emirates copy, not a identikit steel and cladding arrangement like most new 'stadiums', but a proper, unique and contempory piece of architecture.:thumbup:

I would advocate the name "New White Hart Lane"

Inside it is, the uphill slope style stand is exactly like the Allianz. Outside it isn't but apart from being round it hardly looks like the emirates imo.

It's not that unique in the sense of the Bernabeu or the Allianz but once you see it in a few years time I bet you will be begging for your stewards job again.:001_smile:

er I will be offered a stewarding position they will be asking for me beacuse we will need more stewards (probably double from 300-400 to 600-800).

and arent those pics just artists impressions?

No he drew what the architects have already designed, why would it be his impression? All these pictures and designs have been shown at the club open day to fans to talk about the new stadium and the designs.

Why would he draw his own impression without consulting the people behind the actual design?

Apologise if I made an incorrect assumption. The outside still looks like the emirates though.

I think the real thing will look better than photo's of designs. The outside some say looks like the gooners but some say not, nearly all bowl shape stadiums look the same. I don't think the design from the outside is that 'iconic' but honestly I don't care that much, it the inside that is important and it looks like they have delivered on that with the steep stands that are as close to the pitch as possible.

respect your opinion but I disagree. I think the outside is just as important if not more so because itsthe first impression that counts and it looks like the emirates IMO.

I hope I'm wrong but it might well be a case of me only falling in love with the place when its all built and I'm actually in it.

It looks just like the f*cking Emirates. It's even got the sloping bit at the top of the stands :cursing:

We're finally getting a great new stadium, and we're going to have to put up (yet again) with abuse from everyone, who will definitely say: "oh, you're just copying Arsenal's stadium 'cos it's so amazing and the sun shines out their arse"

F*cking hell.

Everton fans love the stadium and apart from the jealous scum.chelsea and west ham everyone else likes it. Once its built you will love it  . In what way does it look like the Emirates?

Arsenal coped Benfica's ground!!! The arsenal fans are only saying that because they are shocked and jealous that we are making strides ourself.

In what way does it look like the Emirates? Just because its a bowl shape? What new group isn't bowl shape? Once its built you will be impressed and loving the new stadium.

Why do Everton fans have an opinion on it and how do you know their opinions??? I'm not doubting you, just seemed like a random thing to say is all :tongue_smilie:

Obviously the bowl thing can't be helped, but the most distinguishing feature of the Emirates is the way that the tops of the upper tier stands aren't just a flat line, they go up in the middle and down in the corner - it's very distinctive and we seem to have designed the exact same thing :cursing: And it would seem that we've gone for the floating roof that they already have....

Its not when so many fans saying how great it looks (on coys someone posted snippets of everton fans saying how great it was and how they wished they had a stadium like that). But for some reason some of our fans are moaning about a new stadium which will look the bollocks just because of the top shape of it and one glass under the roof to hold the noise in the stadium. Thats it, arsenal have see through glass everywhere we haven't!

The only thing that looks the same is the shape of the roof and that makes you think everything about it looks the same.

Arsenal are not the first club to have that roof.

I think it's fricking awesome.

The outside is cool too I think. I mean what can you do? United looks like an executive business company from the outside.

Ours is sleek, and got that cool 'white' sleekness of spurs about it. Arsenal's outside is modern and cool but a bit generic really, like everything they do as a club.

Inside looks inventive and close to the pitch too. Not quite the Allianz, but I don't think that is what they were going for. They wanted the normal stands at the bottom and the steep on top. Proof will be in the pudding and it may become a bit of an icon. I'm delighted with it.

But we are building a stadium just a few years after them which looks very similar... it's not the same as them copying Benfica because hardly anyone here knows what Benfica's ground looks like, and Arsenal and Benfica aren't rivals. And Arsenal are the only team in England with that roof, and everyone recognizes it in England. The stadium will look great, but I'm just sick and tired of Arsenal fans (and the press and all other fans) taking the piss all the time. Now we're just giving evryone another stick to beat us with.

I've said above why it looks like the Emirates - and we'll be abused even if it bears just the tiniest resemblance - the roof on its own is more than a tiny resemblance.

Tell them to fvck off and let them explain how it looks the same apart from the roof? Just because they say it looks the same doesn't mean it is. I was abused for years for supporting spurs (in a banter way) and I learned that there fans are very jealous and fickle. You got to remember these generations of scum fans don't know anything other than Wenger, they don't choose to follow there history or the fact that there ground has no atmosphere.

I wouldn't listen to the papers either, they hate spurs more than most.

I think it looks very similar, I think the roof is what makes it look so similar, because the roof is what sets it apart from other bowl stadiums, that's all. And I can't argue with Arsenal fans, I'm completely outnumbered where I am, and for some reason I can't fathom, fans of plenty of other teams (even f*cking Watford fans who have no excuse to even think about Spurs) are keen to join in and abuse Spurs all the time - this won't help.

Just tell them a few truths and what can they do? All big stadiums have similarities for God's sake. That's pretty much all you have to say. They're probably only trying to wind you up anyway and you are letting them get to you.

Tell them the all that's the same is the roof, but one will be raised regularly and laugh.
