He's apparently destroying the championship. I'm not surprised. I think he's a class player waiting to happen. Great to give him this experience. He has the potential to be really special.

the raw talent he has needs to be nurtured. A bit like bale I think he will develop into an excellent player in a couple of years :001_smile:

Don't forget that Man Utd sent Beckham out on loan to Preston in 94/95 for the same reason we sent Adel to QPR.He does need regular football to smooth out the rough edges in his game.Competitive first team football, even at Championship level, will be better for his development rather than half hearted reserve matches.

it sounded a bit silly dont you think. My new favourite spur is now gomes and I love messi hence I chose gomessi.
I dont even like real madrid with the stupid presidents they always have and the way they **** the manager even if they win the cl/la liga.
Gomes is a hero and messi is

Yea, but it sounds like gomey, which in Ireland is a term like geek.

I still don't see anything particularly extraordinary from those clips. Some nice tricks and step overs, a couple of passes and one frankly shite effort that went into orbit.
Having said that he got a goal against Bristol this weekend so, my judgement is definately not made.

Its just that he can beat a single player quite easily so defenders will have to double up opening gaps up. he is similar to lennon in that respect and if he can be as good as him then we have a midfield capable of upsetting both full backs in any given game.

I have to agree GG, ive seen nothing from him that suggests he's going to be 'world class' or 'great'. He looks like so many other young players touted as the new big thing. Personally i cant see him becoming a first team player at spurs.
I do hope im wrong but i just have my suspicions.

Well people said it was stupid when Ramos left but you still kept it for 6months.

QPR are one of the richest clubs in the world. If they like Tarby, they will buy him. Every chance he will never play for spurs again.

Nutshell PAL.
When people were laying into Lennon imo they didn't seem to realise how effective having a player like that is. It stretches teams badly. Coaches of opposition teams hate players that can remove tactics by taking players straight out of the game.
Even if they are are a bit raw and Lennon was and Taarby is, they are still match winners that in 90 minutes are liable to open things up repeatedly and something will come of it even if a few times it comes to nought.
If they develop, well then you have a devastating player on your hands so I'd give them every chance, these players, believe in them and transmute it to them that you know how talented they are and give them responsibility, experience and coaching.
That's exactly what Ferguson did with Ronaldo and don't tell me in his first season that many people didn't say, 'I don't get it'.

The ability of Ronaldo and Lennon was already there at 16, everyone could see it, they just needed maturity and end product, which Ronaldo has most certainly got (well, maybe not maturity ) and Lennon is just about there.
This Adel guy just doesn't look "right" on the ball, for want of a better expression. He doesn't beat a man at pace, he saunters up to them, flaps his feet and hopes that he sends him the wrong way. That'll never work against top defenders.
I admit he has talent, and could be a decent young player. But 'special'? Next Zidane?? Please.

I think he looks more right on the ball than Lennon did. That's what I think.
It is possible he could be very special. But no one can control development but him and his coaches.
And I say please to that'll never work against top defenders. This guy has the talent to schkin anyone... repeatedly.
When was the last time you saw Sagna made a fool of like that, or Fabregas?
If he hones his game, does things at the right time and makes the right decisions (which he IS improving) he'll destroy defences. And you are wrong that 'everyone' could see how good Ronaldo was and many wanted rid of Lennon last year. They got a lot of stick and criticism. So that my friend is bollocks.
I defended both at those stages too saying they were match winners with huge potential. Ironically similar to Rio, who I also defended, I now often am in arguments saying about Rio and Ronaldo, 'they are not that good' when imo many people are going over the top.

Not bollocks at all. Lennon was one of our best performers last year, and always covers the whole of the right flank. I have always seen his ability and talent, and never wanted him sold, despite needing end product.
Ronaldo has been touted as excellent ever since he went from the Sporting U-15 to the U-16, U-18 and first team in the space of one season. I don't like him, he's a sulky cheating ugly f*cker, and goes missing when the pressure is on, but his ability is undeniable.

o god, have they just discovered that Adel has got an irish grandfather?
Another world class player at Spurs, jeez with this many we should be winning everything.
I jest of course, hes ok and will get better but keep your knickers on mate.

I'm not talking about you Gino but you said everyone and that is bollocks because loads of people were criticising Lennon last year and many even wanted rid if we got 12 million!
And Ronaldo was called a show pony constantly for his first year at United by loads and loads of people.
