I think looking at the table and the form over the last ten to twenty games I think it's going to be:

West Brom, definitely (unfortunately)
Portsmouth, I think they are focked, hart honeymoon will end just at the WRONG time
and Boro or Newcastle, if I was a betting man I'd actually put it on NEWCASTLE, they are in utter disarray, manager is in hospital, Chrissie Houghton may be a good coach (don't know) but his record as a caretaker is awful. Even if Joe does come back it's all up in the air, will he stay, will he be kept on with his health etc. They were beginning to slide even before he left, remember. Though I do think he is decent/good, but the place is an utter mess.

Boro are showing sprouts of recovery, won two games, beat pool, even played with some zest against us, unlucky not score one or two, but they were never going get anything at the lane with Mod, Keane and Lennon all on fire.

I think they will just about be okay along with Hull, Blackburn and Stoke. I think Brown and Fat Sam will just about scramble their teams over the finish line, same with Pulis and because Beattie was a great signing for them.

The bad news is we can no longer win the title.

West Brom, Boro, and Stoke are going down, down, down, down.

WBA - gone, Boro - going unless they can score goals, Stoke - should be saved (for one more season) by virtue of their home form, Hull - should be saved (for one more season) by virtue of their early season form, Pompey - should be ok as long as their defence sorts itself out, Bolton (who are Baulton?) - will be fine, B'burn - to good to go, Barcodes - please, please, please go down and never come back, Sunderland - will be fine, quite like them actually.

So in typical Lawro fashion, they'll all be fine.

WBA, Boro and err Stoke to go.

I've said WBA, Boro and Stoke; the latter two simply not having enough strength to cope with the run in IMO. The other teams have simply too many players in their squad that are capable of performances that'll save them.

I hope newcastle along with boro go down but I'm still not convinced by these teams and GD hardly ever lies.

Rovers are safe as houses.

Brom lack ANY sort of edge (ironic that they beat us, eh?) so I really cant see them staying up.

Portsmouth are a team on a MASSIVE decline; after loosing Diarra and replacing him with Mullins you are ASKING for trouble.

Boro. They just dont possess any REAL talent (bar Downing.) They seem to rely heavily on Downing to create something and 8/10 he really hasnt.

Id love to see the Toom **** off but it wont happen. Something tells me that once Owen is back they'll hit some form and be comfortable. Blackburn will be comfortable too. Big Sams a top quality manager and once he gets a squad setup for his style of play, they will really shift up the table next season. If they were to go down, it would be Ince's fault.

You may be right but I wouldn't bet against Owen taking some time to hit form due to being out for quite some time. Like last season he was out and came back in and was quite slow, understandably, to get going again if I recall correctly.

I think there is a good chance of Newcastle going down. In their run in the Pompey and Boro games at home look the most winable. The problem is there is 5/6 games to play before that - and the pressure could be unbelievable by that point. I think the match this weekend against Hull could prove to be crucial in their bid for survival. Win it and they could take something from the Chelsea/Arsenal games....lose it and I would bet their going down - thats my feeling anyway. I mean Hull away, Chelsea home, Arsenal home, Stoke away and then us at WHL is not easy by any means. Its possible they dont pick up anything in the next five games - most likely pick up a draw or two so beating Hull is paramount. If Pompey, Stoke and Blackburn pick up points over the next month or so Newcastle are right in the shit.

Why ain't Arsenal in the poll? :001_rolleyes:

Because it's so obvious that they're going down, they don't need to be included :001_rolleyes:
