What made you become a Spurs fan? Some of my mates think it is pissworthy because I have never lived in Tottenham (went to college there though - White Hart Lane - Middlesex Uni) etc, although my nearest league side was Maidstone (nuff said)
For me it was the 81 Cup Final when I was seven, and Archibald/Crooks/Villa/Hoddle and Ardiles. Didn't know much about footie then, but they seemed exotic to me.....never eally looked back, and both my brothers followed (as will any son of mine - no choice in the matter)....:D

My grandfather was a Black Cab driver from Woodford Green, my dad grew up in Woodford so they were going to be either Bubbles blowers (not Michael Jackson) or Tottenham. Thankfully it was the latter. I followed suit.

Born into it too.. My father was a spurs supporter and I've just supported them all the time I can remember... And just when I really started to get interested in football, Allan Nielsen, one of my danish heroes, join spurs...

The supreme football we played during the Double and of course the purchase of a certain Jimmy Greaves.

I'm from LA, and my good friend whom I meet out here, is from Enfield. Back in 99' I went out to pay a visit and was taken to the Lane. The rest is history.

Born in 1971 I never got to witness those years, one of my greatest regrets in life.

Certain players in the eighties and ninties like Gazza, Lineker, Waddle and Hoddle brought into following Spurs, with the wonder that was Italia 90 making football my obsession

Spurs vs. Coventry City 3-2 to Spurs. Then in 2000 saw Spurs vs. Derby County 3-1 to Spurs. With the big season coming, i'm planning to come out again maybe March if possible.

liked them on 'The Big Match' where they nearly always featured, first really rememebr them in the old div 2 game where they slaughtered Bristol Rovers 9-1 with Peter Taylor scoring 4? even one with his head (which was unusual for him) , was then hooked.
Started going 90-91 season after the world cup, we won the FA cup beating the scum 3-1 on the way, then totally hooked for life , now despite being repeatedly let down, you just gotta love them aint ya.
now live in sarf wales so bit harder getting there but will do for some games i hope.

Try; Colin Lee 4 Ian Moores 3 Taylor 1 Hoddle 1 and if i'm correct Bobby (i've played foe everyone) Gould got theirs but i could be wrong as i was rat arsed during the game as we'd all agreed to have a pint everytime we scored:eek:

Can't imagine you could like the kings of the no-score draw.

Like EngNo1, I was 9 y.o, 1994, just watched my first World Cup and quickly determined Jurgen Klinsmann as my favourite player. Post -WC, he joins spurs. Yid transformation complete.

My old man was taken to Charlton and Millwall (whoever was home that weekend) as a boy by my grandfather, cos the family were from Deptford. So my old man gre up supporting Millwall with a sympathy for Charlton.
Talk about lucky escape for yours truly...............

My family are pretty divided in terms of football - my Mum's a hammer, my uncle is a gooner and my Grandad was a Fulham fan (despite being from Whitechapel). As I am originally a Muswell Hillbilly, Tottenham seemed the only choice - the idea of being a goon seemed inconcievable even all those years ago..

Dad and brother supported so i got in that way in the the late 80s. It helped that Arsenal put me to sleep around that point in time. Also living in North London it was one of the nearer teams so we could go watch.

My Dad was from Manchester and surpported City, thankfully he relocated to London where I was born in Fulham, we went to Craven Cottage for my first game at the age of 12 (1962 ) to see Fulham who were playing the mighty Spurs. We won 4-2 and I was hooked and I have been a yid ever since, they have been some bad times but we are on the way back to the Glory,Glory,Nights.
