Just wondering if anyone here actually knows / knew / knows someones brothers friends cousin that knows any of the players or staff at the club.
Personally I went to the same school as Michael Dawson in Northallerton, and my cousin played at the Wallsend Boys club with Michael Carrick.
Anyone else have a tenuous link to the players?
:)

Jermaine Jenas almost ran over my brother in Loughton. That's about as tenuous as it gets...

this is nearly as bad as leeboyspurs's. I have been to two seperate Barmitzvah's where there were 'suprise' guests for the boys. The first was Gary Mabutt in 1984. The second was may in the late 90's and the guest was, wait for it....... Clive Wilson! I pissed myself, 'sorry son we know you wanted to meet one of your heroes but we could only afford Clive Wilson'.
For the record his teeth looked even bigger in real life.

What purpose was Wilson at a Bar Mitzvah? Is he Jewish?

No! He was a 'suprise' guest, so was Mabutt. The parents evidently paid for them to turn up, suprise the kid, sign a few autographs and have a couple of dances with the Jewish grannies.

One of my oldest friends lived next door to Gary Mabbut for donkeys years, top man! I used to chat with Gary Lineker and Boby Mimms after games and I still have a close link to a certain fromer Director of Football. Do these count?
I'm convinced that said former Director sometimes tells me gossip just to check if it ends up in a national paper! He once told me that were on the verge of signed Andy Cole in a swap deal for Ian Walker and £1mil :p , then again he also told me we were signing Rebrov about a year before we did (although it's quite difficult to hide regular trips to Kiev ;) ) and I knew we were signing Zokora before the World Cup.

Was he heading straight for him then miss at the last second?
Michael Dawson was actually a couple of years below me, but I was in the same year as his brother Andrew, who played for S****horpe (now at Forest I think), who I also happen to follow. Conicidence, or does Northallerton just follow me around?

I once knocked Alan Ball's Drink out of his hand at Royal Ascot, He used to play with Martin Peters who played and stil works at Spurs. He's weird though coz i once saw him after a game wandering around the east stand looking at the litter all on his lonesome! Does this count?:D

I used to see Aaron Lennon in a club in Leeds when I used to visit my bird at uni. He would stand there with mates and drink nothing but Smirnoff ices, barely saying a word!

well he's cool he doesn't need to say anything. he was contemplating which top club he could join to fulfil his quest of football god. He did well!

Surely he wasn't legal to drink then.
Scandalous, lock him up.

I once met Gary Mabbutt at a book signing at the Hatfield Galleria - in the ten seconds we had to speak he seemed like a great bloke.
I used to work with a guy who went to school with Jermaine Defoe and my dad used to work with a guy in Hyde Park who apparently signed schoolboy forms with Spurs but left disgruntled, as the closest he got to any action was sweeping the Shelf.

I interviewed Gary Mabbutt on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire when I was about 15. It was a kid gets to interview his hero regular thing they did, asked him about David Pleat (it was the end of 1987 season), his diabetes, other players and that kind of thing, though my gran started recording when she first heard me (doing some quiz questions an hour before Mabbs even came in) so I got only a small piece of the interview. God knows what happened to the tape!
Oh, and went into the Spurs dressing room before they played Cambridge United in the League Cup (I saw Ray Clemence's cock, thought it was big at the time, now realise it was average!)
Got to meet Glenn, Chris, Ozzie... legends!

Was that 'saw Ray Clemence's cock' by accident or did he expose himself to you. If it was the latter that may explain the origins of Judas' sexual preferences. He must of been a youngster in the club at the time or a ball bay or a towell holder or something.
