Harry Redknapp again defended resting his first-team players after Tottenham bowed out of the Uefa Cup with a 1-1 draw against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Ahead of the Carling Cup final against Manchester United on Sunday,

For me the young side should be proud and HarryHotSpur made the right choice!

yeh see if you say that when the rested players lose on Sunday and we've got nothing to show for a season of indecision by all at the club

Makes no difference what happens then! A loss would mean a loss end of!

Im proud of the team we played against Shakhtar. Even if we loose on Sunday, I know we will play out of our skins.

If you look at it like you are then yea I see where you are coming from; but this appears to be a transitional time for the club. With the ridiculiously poor season we have had so far, surely survival is 'Something to show for'. If you look at when Ramos left; could you have said we would be in the position we are in now?

Bring on ManK U!

I'm Buzzing about the Harry Youth Policy! He will bring out the best in them, he is a master at finding talent! Lampard, Cole, Carrick need I say more :001_smile: it's keeping them that is the problem!

As Harry has already said you need your best players in the best shape possible to try and get a result over Man utd. Why play them on a thursday night to then not give yourself the best possible chance to win on sunday.

You have to give yourself the best chance possible to beat the best team in the world in a cup final, it makes no sense sending them out three days before to either get injured or tired.

who cares what Harry says, hes a cock, we're playing shite football under him, he never picks the same 11 in a row, when he joined us he got results by telling the players what they could do not what they couldnt do (his words) well what the hell has he been telling them for the last 3 months? cos theyve certainly not been playing anywhere near their full potential individually or as a squad.

We haven't been playing to our potential consistently for a while now, its not Harry's fault he has inherited a mish mash team. He can't play the same team consistently when players get injured and are not performing, he doesn't do it on purpose.

To be fair not many spurs fans know there starting lineup, we have players who can't seem to fit into a system and have no real thought behind why them players were brought. Next season Harry will have a settled side and even Jol hardly ever had a settled side (apart from the first season we finished 5th).

Also Harrys points per game ratio is top seven form, so stop trying to make out he has done fvck all these past three months or so. You expect to much haven't you can't expect a team to be in relegation form to suddenly be beating teams week in week out. We haven't had the best of luck out playing Newcastle away from home and losing last few minutes, getting beat at wigan last minute, should of beaten Arsenal to take three points and conceding last few minutes againt Bolton.

I honestly can't fathom the constant Hate Harry is getting over any little thing, people need to stop dining out of Martin Jol's two 5th place finises because its in the past and we have a Cup Final on Sunday (which Jol never did in his first 6months at spurs).

Judge Harry after next season.
