Now, i know it will be frowned upon by many on this forum but i think the way this guy has conducted himself through his horrific injury and his inspiring return from injury has to be recognised. It was a terrible, sickening injury but he has just kept his head down and got himself back to first team action and i think thats worth mentioning.
Don't shoot me down for this, i just thought it was worth saying.
PS i still hate the Woolwich Bastards!!

Yeah fair play to the guy, someone with his attitude deserves to play for a better team. I heard the Arsenal fans gave him a standing ovation??? Didn't realize they were capable of getting out their seats and actually making some noise

I think they've gone a bit over the top with the whole thing other players have had the same done to them and they didnt get the same press(cisse twice)

Im with you on that no-one deserves an injury like that he is only human after all. It was a sickening injury his ankle and foot were nearly snapped off i saw it live and it was horrific.

always admire anyone that can come back from that kind of injury
But I'm sure we'll be damning our own comments here should he plunder a hat trick against us next season.

Im just happy we dont have to play the Goons again this season. Me thinks there mounting a late title challenge.

Absolutely no way. Don't fall into Sky's enticing trap - they want you to believe that it's still a four way race - it never was. Arsenal left the race a while ago and (you can quote me on this) if they win the title, I will run naked to the Emirates with a big banner proclaiming: "Arsene - feast your eyes"
It won't happen :001_smile:
I hope :001_unsure:

Im not falling into a sky trap here mate.
It is a 4-way-race anyway (If you include Villa)
The fact remains that (as much as I hate them) they are a ****ing good team. Now they have a very prolific goalscorer back; whos to say they cant mount a late challenge?

Just the sad truth. TBH don't give a shit about them this season, they can't interfere with our chances at silverware and can't (directly) interfere with our chances of staying up.
If we stay up then I can start thinking about how sweet/good for the game it is that Villa will get into the CL at their expense.

I really can't see how they can finish ahead of Villa because they concede too many goals, poor keeper and centre backs and Fibreglass is played with Denilson which means he seems to struggle badly to get on the ball as his mind is on the fact that they are pissing against the wind defensively.
Villa are a far more solid outfit and will probably continue to churn out at least as many points and already have a five point gap.

"Sicknote".
As far as Villa goes; yes they are a class team playing well and all that- but I dont think they have the staying power. If Young gets injured they are well and truely shagged.
They were lacklustre against CSKA (Albeit a team with Wagner Love is a team to fear.)
I dunno. I just wouldnt count the Goons out yet; they have a habit of churning out results when they need um (bar last season)

Yes, but they always had strong defensive players in the spine. Now, they are so weak in many key defensive areas. I think they are toast, finish fifth, which they've flirted with before with a much stronger side and will lose Persie, Adebayor and Fibreglass in the summer.
