Dear Thierry Henry
Its not been a very good last 3 months has it? You have LOST the Champions League Final, you have LOST the World Cup Final and you clutched your face in agony having hurt your chest when deliberately fouling Puyol. You failed to perform in the World Cup which raises questions about your ability and whether you deserve the accolades bestowed upon you and you were subbed in most games being replaced by Wilturd. Your bum friend bobby pires has left you and so has Sol. Who is going to play with you now? I suggest that you don't return to England to play in the premiership next season as your pain and suffering will continue to grow. You will bear witness to a meteorological resurrection of the greatest team the world has ever seen and you will be crushed in the destructive path it leaves behind. You have been found out - sunderland and west brom make you look good but in fact, you cant actually cut it with the big boys can you? when it really matters you don't got the balls. Well its our time now so enjoy the downside of the rest of your career cos im sure in south africa 2010 you will be lining up with leonardo and desailly.

Perhaps it would be more correct to say: in THE MOST important maches.
The media hysteria about Zidane gets on my nerves. He WAS great.

I hope Zidane explains to the press exactly what was said by Materazzi. Must have been something outrageous for him to react like that. So far, speculation suggests that it was either something racist (as Zidane is technically Algerian) or something to do with old Juventus allegations involving steroid use.
Either way, you can't really justify his reaction, but some sort of explanation would be nice. A real shame, considering the tournament he had, and that penalty in a world cup final. Absolute beaut...

I cannot stand Materazzi and I for one was absolutely delighted to see the cheating Italian **** get, well, ****ted. I can't condone what Zidane did, but **** me, what a headbutt. Imagine if he'd have done that in the semi vs Portugal and Ronaldo was on the recieving end. If only....

yep can't agree more bout Lumpard... brilliant in the prem and plays s**t for England whats up with that... on the other hand Rio had a good tournament and surprised me... normally he seems to go off the boil

Yes, pre-WC I didnt have him in my team, but he proved how good he is this summer. The fact that the only goals England conceded were the 2 Swedish goals shows how well they defended...bar that game. Call it an off-day.

Don't know if we'll see a lot of him anyway mate. Ballack looks a far better

I agree Lampard was crap but don't forget he was our top golascorer in qualifying, i wasn't greatly impressed with Ballack but i think he was carrying an injury.

Zidane's agent said that he was tired and that Materazzi made an unpleasent comment about Zidanes mum but wouldn't say what.

i don't know. it seemed to me that materazzi grabbed him about the chest region, let him go and ZZ seemed to be joking about it and asked him if he wanted his shirt. Materazzi says no and then gives him some stick as he walks off. I don't think it was any worse than henry running into cannavaro then feigning injury. That was a total stitch up.

nah he squeezed ZZ nipps didnt he, then he probably said 'i prefer squeezing your mums tits'
and then Gallas ran up and said, 'hey white boy im gonna ****ing smash your face in , white boy im gonna kill ya' and ye MAterazzi was cacking himself over that hard French boys aggresiveness
O william your so tough, everyones scared of you , ********** . notice he didnt say this on the pitch to Materazzis face, but conveniently waited til they were in different countries , or at least heading that way.

To be honest Zidane has played for a long time in France, Italy and Spain. He must have heard every insult going as a great player who workmanlike players try to wind up.
It doesn't matter what Mattterrazzzzi said, Zidane is a dick for responding to it! I hope he regrets it for the rest of his career.... oh, er... life.
(And I'm glad he did it, France might have won otherwise!)

I have no doubt that Gallas would tear ****erazzi apart. ****in italian scumbag. Good on Zidane, can't condone his actions and never will, but he is an even bigger legend for me now.

I heard that after Materazzi grabbed him Zidane said "You can have my shirt after the game if you want," to which Materazzi replied "I'd rather have you're wife's/mum's."
Deserves a kicking i'd say, but maybe in the tunnel afterwards would have been better timing...

That would make it pre-meditated action, and is a more serious offence than if you're reacting to severe provocation. Anyway Zidane has shown some macho and may be in for Kung Fu roles in films in future.
