Was just around the official spurs site and saw some pictures from the first training. And saw that Ziegler was back and probably all other players that haven't been sold, and just thought "are Martin going to give some of the squad players pre-season to show that they are good enough??"..
At the end of last season I was sure some of the players i call squad player, like Ziegler, Ghaly, Murphy, Yeates, Marney, Fulop and Reid would be gone now, to make the way to the first team a little easier for talentens like Hudd or O'hara...
Just wondering, do you think MJ will give them pre-season to show they are good enough to be around in a CL challenging team or is he really believing we need so many players for next seasons Cup, Uefa and premiership matches??

i think the season starts before the transfer window closes so there's plenty of time yet, plus you need everyone fit in case you get injuries or offers come in.

Think he said on the official site he'll give O'Hara a look see in pre-season and if he does well, he'll be included in the first team squad of 26.

the transfer window's only been open 7 or 8 days and these players are still contracted and picking up checks from Spurs each week. Until they're bought or released they'll be training like all our other players.
One thing's for sure we will be selling and buying more players before the transfer window closes.

i can't see o'hara getting in, we have so many midfielders, we would have to sell about five before he'd even make the bench.

think we'll use 2nd string for the carling cup , give them expereince , something to aim for and a chance to prove themselves, ala the scum, so the fringe players have something to train for.
also seems Reto could be back in favour as they were happy with his progress out on loan, i think he can do good for us given a run, he seems a confidence player and a run will do him the world of good .

Are we that good yet? We used our first string last time and that got us knocked out so I guess our seconds can't do any worse! Then again, we should be taking it a little more seriously than Man U and Arse. We aren't guaranteed a Euro place every season just yet!

But it didn't help when the first string was in 2nd gear.

well its gotta be the least of our priorities so id like us to use the 2nd string for experience for them and rest for the first team. or at least a mix of the two teams .
