I think it's good. The more exciting footballers we have playing in our League every week the better. I hope Kaka or Messi join him pretty quickly. And I'd rather see them going to City than any of the Sky 4, and hopefully the top 4 spots could be vulnerable at last. If one team gets knocked out by City then the League will become much more open, and hopefully it will be scum, and they will never get back in there

A theory:

Managers keep stating that the reason why England as a national football team are shite is the lack of homegrown talent. With clubs like Manure, Chavski etc etc and now citeh having money beond belief; there gonna go for the best players from around the globe rather than keep to their fresh talent (there are exceptions... Strurridge, Richards etc etc) but it can have an effect on the younger ones.

Of course its nice to see the best of the best in the Prem; but there should be at least 5/6 home-grown players fielded at one time. This would effect us too, I know, but its something the FA really should look at imo.

1. it only benefits MAN CITY! it doesnt help us one bit, well it does if you would like to see our defence get murdered if we come up against messi/kaka.

2. none of the sky 4 could even dream about buying messi or kaka because they would cost an astronomical amount. barca wont sell messi anyway. kaka if he leaves will cost over £70m do you think anyone could afford that.

3. even if the scum drop out of the top 4 how does it help us. There will be 5 teams then who are a much more attractive option to players.

by the way I would arsenal to drop out but as long as wenger is there I think they will stay in the top 4.

arse, lpool and manure didnt need an outside billionaire to get them into the top 4 and if man city get into the top 4 by buying all the best players in the world what hope is there for us:sad:

football is starting to annoy me:angry:

City are stupidly rich, they bid 130m for a goal keeper in casillas. They would spend 70m on kaka easily. They could afford to buy every club in the league with ease.

yes I know that.

my comment was how ONLY man city could spend ridiculous amounts not even the combined sky 4 can match them.

In the long term city will be above us EVERY SEASON unless we get a billionaire ourselves.

I dont want a billionaire myself and in general I find it sickening how a club can be skint one minute and the next they are filthy rich.

I suppose football just mirrors society in general but I am starting to hate following premier league football.

an individual or company should always work within its financial limits but it seems like society their is no real need to. We (the public) are now suffering because of our overspending over the years I hope man city suffer badly in the future but it seems they will get to the top (like chelsea) first.

I don't think its good atall. If Man City break the top 4. Then it wont help us. We need alot of work done to our team before we decide to even think about the top 8 even. We were a team building up slowly to gatecrash the top 4, Then suddenly Berbatov and Keane get sold. So now we will just have to start all over again. Bent and Pavlyuchenko upfront really is not a good f*cking start either. It's an embarrissing forward line if you ask me. Even the papers enjoy making a mug out of Darren Bent.

Oh bad, especially with chelsea calming down and wanting to settle there books. Its a shame but i don't see them having the same success as chelsea because they just seem to want to buy the best players instead of buying the right players for them. Also there young players will hardly get a look in and i bet hughes will be sacked sooner or later.

I never said it would help us, I said hopefully the league will be more open, because if a team drops out of the top 4 (hopefully scum as I said) then they will lose their CL revenue and appeal to players thus becoming mortal, and City will be newbies who could be knocked off their top 4 perch, which would open the league up. Even if City did assemble a star studded team, they might not finish top 4. Look at Milan.

Your point about the top 4 may be true, but there could be foreign superstars who run down their contract and then go to one of the Sky 4. I'd rather see them at City, and I'd also rather see them at City than not in the PL at all. Don't you think it would just be a bit of a change from having the same top 4 every f*cking year? That's what's starting to really piss me off about English football.

I would consider whether there is any point in supporting us if we had an owner like man city have. Its fantasy football if we are honest.

and no I dont consider man city/chelsea the best thing since sliced bread.

Its their choice they supported man city a club that hasnt won a trophy for nearly 40 years and has been relegated more times than we have trophies in that period and also played in the third tier of english football.

So it will change from man u + chelsea guranteed to be in the top with lpool, arse and man city fighting for the remaining 2 places.

Its a change but its hardly a massive change. The top 4 still have top managers man city have............oh Mark Hughes if they get mourinho they would break the top 4 but it doesnt HELP US.

so therefore the highest we can finish is 6th.

bit of mixed feelings about this , glad they chose city over pumping money into arse , pool , or utd and i too would rather have the top guys in the premiership than in la liga , or seria a .
also producing a galactico team in the u.k , doesnt necessarily guarentee success though as said it will make it harder for us to reach the riches of the c.l.
good for the developement of english football as a whole , probably not but things have gone too far to be rectified without intervention from the football authorities , i.e capping of foreign imports or a certain number of home born players per side , and if anything something like this may well speed that process along

Some points....

1) The only thing that would be a help to us having the top 4 broken up is by us doing it.

2) Will Citeh ruin football? No. Have Chelski, after the panic, no. It doesn't help matters but ruin the game is an alarmists reaction. Chelski actually broke up The Scum and Man Ure's dominance. Citeh will do the same possibly but it isn't a guarenteed dynasty.

3) Real Madrid, Chleski at some points. A team of stars means nothing without a manager capable of leading them and balancing out the egos.

Wage cap percentage of natural revenue, perhaps even transfer ratio to revenue (if you can sustain it without billionaire backing) has to come in and stop billionaires making problems for football. Chelsea are so dominant over spurs and they are a smaller club!

This would also have the added benefit of stopping people running clubs like idiots and racking up debts on a gamble of success, which in turn may also mean less costs for the fans to bear the brunt of or at least stop it getting further out of control.

Here's one that will never happen. 7 out of 11 starting players and 3 subs need to be British in all CL matches.

think they have something like this in the german league.

maybe set wage percentage of revenue to annual turnover at 40% chelseas is about 70% if I remember correctly. ours is at 42% I think
