All i know is that Zokora will be one of the best buys of the season! In my opion he could become the new viera or new keane of the premeirship, i was suprised Man utd never wanted him or arsenal for that matter.

I've heard a rumour that even Jol doesn't know anything about Assou-Ekotto! Which is a little worrying, must have been all Comolli's doing.

Dixon is the Irish kid that joined up with their squad. 16 I believe and supposed to be aboslutely dynamite. He looks a little liek Rooney and the comparrisons do not end there.
I have a gut feeling he may well be the ace up Jol's sleeve over the next few seasons.

Yup, I heard the same thing about Dixon, basically a ginger Irish version of Rooney, the noises coming out of the youth set-up are that Dixon will get 1st team games this season. It makes sense really, the earlier these young talents get first team exposure the more they can learn. These is only so much a 17 year old can learn from players like Bunji.
Berbatov was supposedly the star of the Bundeslige (after Ballack) and is considered far too good to come to Spurs. Think Marco Van Basten in terms of style of play (I shit you not, I just hope he's at least half as good)
Clearly signing Zokora is a signal of our intent, one of the rising stars of this World Cup and African Nations and sought by the Goons, Man U, I even hear some larger European clubs were sniffing around but as I reported before it was a done deal before the World Cup started.
I must confess to knowing very little about Eskotto other than that he is considered the natural succesor to Lizarazu at left-back and can operate in midfield as well. Apparently he is very strong and quick.
I am very interested to see Perkhat play as he is also supposed to be supremely gifted. I know nothing whatsoever about Dervitte!

you can't tell, we've bought more that haven't made it. look at barny, i'd be very surprised if he gets any more games next year. I'll also wait and see about zokora. people thought essien had a good world cup. he looked busy in an average team, but he is one of the most overated players i've ever seen. A complete nut job to boot. Hopefully at 8mill or thereabouts, zok's a better risk.

dont agree with you about Essien, he has been fantastic in the WC, was superb for Lyon both in france and the CL. he hasnt been outstanding at Chelseas but who could be outstanding when you're midfield partners are Makelele & Lampard who between them can do it all.

Yeah I guess he's had to settle into a midfield that's already fully-operational and just battle for a place. He is good, but overrated.

That's the best short description of Berbatov. All his fans in Bulgaria and Germany were surprised that he opted for the Spurs, for they considered him good enough to play for Barca, Milan, or Man U.
It's true that he resembles Van Basten, but there are some differences. He is still not as good finisher as the Dutch, because of being less confident. Although he scores many goals (goals - games 60-70 %) he often misses to score from clear positions. He develops more slowly, with each year becoming stronger. To be sure, he will become one of the great stars of the Spurs and the EPL.

If we don't bring in a fourth striker I think you'll find Barny gets plenty of game time. We are competing in the league, 2 domestic cups & the UEFA Cup after all. I'd imagne quite a few fringe players such as Hudd, Barnard, Gardner, Davenport, Routledge, Zeigler & O'Hara will see plenty of action and our new signings in Dervitte & Eskotto will get some first team time too.
I cannot wait for the season to start !!! COYS.
