So Sven is now defending his decision by saying it was good experience for the boy and that he does not think JD would have done a better job. I just wished I'd asked Sven to take me as I am sure it would have been a good experience for me to.
Surely there should be an investigation about the motives of this choice, I didnt agree with him going , but to take him and not play him considering the problems we had with strikers necessitating a change in formation, I cant think of any reason. Sven cant be that stupid that he thinks putting a countrys chances in the Worl Cup at risk justifies giving someone 'good experience'?

Why take Walcott for Experiance... when we were crying out 4 another striker... we could of taken an U21 Player who are on the verge of making the step up...

you know sven is not going to back down, once he'd taken him past the cut off date he was never going to concede defeat. I still think there must have been a lot of money won on his inclusion, and that will be his transfer kitty where he ends up next.

So SGE thinks that Walcott was the better choice, therefore thinks he's better at sitting on the bench than JD. The guy is a prick, what an insult to Jermain....still, new season, fresh start, hope he's ready to put last season right.

I think it was all about ego. Sven was thinking take the boy, play him at some point, he will shine like a 17 year old Pele in Sweden and will forever be hailed as a genius.
BUT suddenly it occured to him 'oh f**k when am I going to play him'.
Sven seemed to always have these spectacular moments of genius that he never quite thought through. It the normal world folks like that fail to even climb to middle-management let alone become the CEO's.
I like the Scum conspiracies, that slimey **** Dien probably had a hand in it.

There's something dodgy about it. Thing is, he DID have a chance to play him, there perfect one being when Owen had gone home, and Rooney sent off. But no, he brings on Carragher for Lennon, just to miss a penalty. FFS. But it just begs the question why take players who are only going to play if the others are injured, I mean if you're takin 4 strikers and one's not doing the biz, then u need to try another who can! i.e. Defoe!!!! D Bent!!!! Crouch was only in due to injuries to others....he obviously wasnt convinced by him, shouldn't u be taking your best 23 to a major finals???? Idiot. That's a hell of a lot of unjustified money lost by the FA. 5 and a half years multipy 4Million anyone????
