VERY pleased with that
It was mightily disrespectful to axe them, and now we have some further options.

Seconded. It makes sense bearing in mind the limited number of players for European games.

Taarabt is very talented I'm hoping he starts to show us more of his raw talent.

Bent and Zokora for Diarra and Defoe - that would be tempting! Oh if only transfers could be that simple!
To be fair Benty deserves a run.

What´ s the point in bringing Stalteri back to 1st team... we have Hutton, Gunther and Ćorluka in that position... If Stalteri starts any Spurs game I´ll be massively disappointed :blushing:

I think it's just indicating fully that everyone starts with a fresh slate. It doesn't mean any of those players are likely to feature in the first team soon. For Stalteri to start would take at least both RBs and 2 CBs to be injured or suspended at the same time.

Ghaly: glad to see him back, think he'll add competition and diversity to our team.
Taraabt: still cant work out why Ramos dropped him
Rocha: a fairly capable player but i cant see him making any inroads into the team
KPB: very dissapointing but may come good given a bit of time
Stalteri: no chance of seeing him in the team again, no real loss

Stalteri: experienced, calm, fairly solid rb I think.
KPB: pretty dreadful, runs hard, tries hard, but ineffective, and too rash.
Ghaly: Not as bad as everyone said at the time, but gives the ball away far too much, it will cost us one day if he gets back into the team.
Rocha: I thought he was pretty good when he played, don't know why he was dropped to reserves, especially with Ledley's condition, Rocha's good to have around.
Taarabt: I really think he's a talent, again, don't know why he was dropped from 1st team. Can't wait to see the best of him.

Taraabt - thought he was a wonderkid!but if he is that good harry will give him a chance like the kids at west ham.
Rocha- need him as cover, better than dawson
Ghaly- apoligised and also hasnt moaned since being in the reserves. if barton gets a 3rd chance why cant we give a player a 2nd chance for a more minor offence.
stalteri- hope he doesnt play
KPB- only harry can bring out the potential if he has any.
The thing is most our managers have been too afraid to play youngsters, but im hoping he passes judgement with talent rather than age...as everton do once in a while or even arse.

As jrio said, everyone gets a fair chance. Good management on his part. I'm happy with all of them getting a chance. I can't see Stalteri getting a game, would like to see Taarbat making a few appearences and Ghaly too (is forgiven also).

I reckon Harry will be able to get the absolute best out of Bent now, and will probably go for him and Pal up front together from now on. Good old 442 again!!

*engage smug mode* Haha, I said after one of our defeats (been to many to remember exactly which one :blushing:) that Ghaly, Stalteri and Taarabt all deserved recalls as I'm sure they'd be willing to fight and prove something. I'm quite happy with this... I'm sure 'Arry will want to use KPB and Boateng... reckon he can ge the best out of them. And as for Ghaly, JENAS OUT! GHALY IN! :001_rolleyes:

Pekhart can't get into Southampton's starting line-up. Barnard was also prolific in the reserves, but as soon as I saw him in a first team game it was obvious he wouldn't make it, as it was with Ifil and Barcham. Calls for young players are usually always misguided. The vast majority of players don't make it and there is a huge gulf between the reserves and first team squad.

if nothing else harry is a wheeler dealer and to see guys sitting out of the action depreciating in value day by day must get on his tits , makes perfect sense to get these guys in the shop window again, wether he thinks they have a future here or not .
as to the players themselves ghaly , tab and kpg have futures if guided by a good man manager and can offer spurs different attributes and still worth perservering with , rocha didnt do too much wrong and can be cover for the rest of the season , salty is way down the pecking list though and if harry can claw in some cash for him all well n good .
the young guys should be given a chance in the c.c cup , it shouldnt be a priority for us

Yea, even the duds like Staleri are better not to have labeled in the out in the cold tag. Makes people think they are so useless or problematic that they can't even train with the first team. Who's going to see the possible positive of signing that, even with a smaller team and a lesser budget?
I can't wait to see what Harry can do with Taarabt. I'm really optimistic with that one, he's a serious talent and if anyone will see it and indulge it to turn him into a superstar it is Harry.
I reckon if Ferguson had his mits on Taarabt a few years ago that last year he would have become one of the hottest properties in the prem. In fact maybe even Jol, who predicted such a future for him many times and said he was working hard on developing him would have had him ready and destroying teams by now.

I think jol compared him to zidane and ginola.
Choda where do you think taarabt could fit into a harry reknapp team. Obviously he has to perform at a good level before being a first team regular.

taarabt modric
diarra bentley ??
I wonder why he taarabt hasnt made it yet. Seems a very talented kid. A real rough diamond.

the rest of the team were shit as well. At least he tries to be positive when he is playing.
Only 19!!!! give him time and good coaching. I bet if he was at a club like barca he would develop a lot better (actually that is stating the obvious our record for bringing throught talent is crap..........maybe that is what is holding the kid back?!:scared: ).
We need harry to see his potential and devlop his game.
Give some support to out youngsters berbz... your only 16 yourself

I'm not complaining :001_rolleyes:
Like you said, Where is he gonna play within the team we currently have at the moment.
A loan deal would be a great advantage for us and Taarabt himself.
I look forward to seeing Pekhart evolve soon

One of the wings or maybe in a 433 or 4321. I'd like some kind of christmas tree system that would have modric as a playmaker in a three and lennon and taarabt in directly behind Bent/Pav. They'd run riot. I believe in that position Lennon is unmarkable and when he beats people or runs over the top he'd be right in on goal. Taarabt is may need a similar role.
I never wanted Bentley even though I do like him. He's the one that would be hard to fit into that system. But it is only theory, I'm sure Harry will try a few things over the course of the next few months and find a good formula.
The best thing may end up being pure width and early crosses into Bent/Pav or them both together.
