credit to Sven for what he said in his final news conference, things like that are one of the reasons he is so popular with the players. even though he failed to deliver he did a few things to really help the england team i.e. geting the season to end a week early to help the issue of tiredness, getting the baden baden trining camp and ignoring united and the FA and playing rooney which helped step up his come back. hopefully McClaren can follow sven in these respects

I think England need a new broom, much like Portugal did with Scolari and Germany with Klinsman. McLaren doesn't have the name or charisma to change things around.

i often think that guys like the BRucknecker??? the one who had T&T, now look what he done with basically1st/ 2 nd div players , what could he do with England? ditto who had Ivory Coast and Ghana, they get tremendous performances from fairly mediocre team as a whole , what could they get from our lot, i often wonder

What you get with those sort of coaches is motiviation. When there are no expectations of your side it's a lot easier to get them fired up and peform beyond their usual capabilities.
What it comes down though is getting any group of individuals performing as an effective unit. It sounds a cliche but that's what it boils down too. Look at Hiddink with S.Korea and Australia or the examples mjbmedia gave. Sven never achieved that.
what could they get from our lot, i often wonder
Our lot come with (as do any of the 'big' sides) ego and relative accomplishment. I think they'd have a much harder job with our bunch.

wouldnt mind finding out tho, there was very little motivation in the world cup on Englands side apart from the fans

We should have gone for Hiddinck.
They shouldn't of just gone for him. they should have sent a helicopter, flown him to Buckingham Palace, offer him svens 5 million a year, have the queen give him a blow job and the freedom of london. give him whatever he wants, tell him he dosen't have to wear the stupid blazer, ugly tie and a press pass the size of rooneys head in the dugout. he was availble after the world cup, this bloke dosen't need to send his resume, he's proven quality, give him the f-ckin' job.
Knobs at the fa needed time to compare notes and see how he measured up to mclaren and allardice. give me a break. not getting him was a crime. the fa are a joke.

well we got what we got , so mclaren should get our backing . we should qualify easily for euro 2008 , as we should for every major tournamnet , hopefully come the finals he will have learnt from the mistakes shown by sge and we will actually have a go at it .

anyway rooney , yeah dont kill him off , cant blmae him for getting sent off if it was for that nothing of a push . if it was for the stamping then it was down to the interpretation of the ref , and i think he was wrong .

I think you mean Leo Beenhakker? The guy is a retard, he didn't do anything with T&T mate, I'm not sure if you noticed but they got eliminated without scoring! He also said "Football is like smoking dope, you go away for a while but it always pulls you back in." Classic.

I'm not talking from experience here, but I think getting a blowjob from the Queen would actually put him off the job, not actually seal his signature.
