No not James Bond, for those of you who instantly thought that after reading the title:

This guy imo, is a huge mistake for Redknapp to make. I live near Bournemouth myself, and used to get the latest AFC Bournemouth news all the time when i delivered the local paper, and when Kevin Bond was in charge, he did a shit job in managing them, failing to keep them in League 1. I'm guessing that Redknapp has made him his assistant, as they have a history of working alongside each other, but if some tactics are left to him, then we are ****ed.

Bournemouth were doing fine when Bond's predecessor Sean O'Driscoll was in charge, yet Bond came in after Sean left for Doncaster, and, granted he made a few good signings for the club, Darren Anderton being one of them, he couldn't inspire them to many wins, leaving the club with low confidence and not much inspiration. They are now languishing 1 from bottom in League 2, but would still be in League 1 had Bond not joined imo. I'm thankful though, that he hasn't got the top job instead, as that would be a disaster.

Not very good at all. I know that he has been part of many coaching teams, including assistant manager to Glenn Roeder at Newcastle before moving to Bournemouth. I can't see many real strengths from him, but maybe he just doesn't fit the manager job well, and is well more suited to the assistant's job, yet he was axed from that post at Newcastle as well.

His record at Bournemouth wasn't good, and says it all really. In a total of 95 games, he won 31, lost 47 and drew 17, a win percentage of 32% roughly, not impressive at all. He did have a good history of getting a run of wins on few occasions, most notably 5 wins out of 6, at the end of last season, which nearly kept them up, and i think one of the players commented of his determination and belief that they can stay up if they put in 100% every game, which spurred them on a little, but didn't help. All i can say is, i may not see him as great, with no real strengths that make him a good coach, but if Harry see's him as ideal, than we will just have to trust his instincts, as it's him we have to rely on right now to get us of this mess.

It should be interesting to see who these two ex-spurs players that harry wants to bring in are.

It seems that one is Tim Sherwood but the other seems to be a complete mystery

Yeah i have to agree with you there, i dont see what Jamie would offer to be honest. I dont have a problem with Sherwood coming in.

How about getting Ginola in to teach Lennon, Bale and JJ how to cross a ball!!

D'you know what, that's not a bad idea actually. Love to have him come back to our club, would certainly teach those players a few tricks they'd benefit from.:thumbup1:

I know one of the reserve players at pompey who went on loan to Bournemouth when Bond was manager and he hated every minute of it. He said Bond was/is the worst coach hes ever worked under, the players had no respect for him and he treated the players like shit :cursing:

Plenty of guys have been very highly rated in the number 2 role, but completely failed as managers - Brian Kidd, Sammy Lee come to mind. Redknapp won't have brought Bond in for inspiration and I doubt Sherwood's coming for that reason. He wants people he can trust to put his ideas into practice. I don't recall that Harry has made any boo-boos with the people he has brought into clubs in the past to assist him.

wayne you may not like ramos but that is a myth made up by the sun.

I have explained in a post why you can very little food in your stomach but already be full of energy.

A full stomach doesnt equate to having lots of energy.

Regarding bond harry will obviously want his own people to work with.

I think i heard them saying that Bournemouth were relegated due to a points deducton and not due to Bonds management. Maybe we should give him a go, after all, Chris Hughton was at the lane for years and didn't exactly make a major impact.
A no#2 is just someone to shout at or bounce ideas off. It's better than talking to yourself. :001_rolleyes:
Plus Arry will need someone to take with him when he goes to Levy's office for a bolloking!!!!

Ah yes. Tim Sherwood to have a role at Tottenham. A legend. Knows what he is talking about, Great football knowledge.
He would be the perfect replacement for Gus Poyet.

Graham Roberts for me. I like the shout for Ginola as a technical coach. Did anyone see Gary Stevens on SSN Monday morning pimping himself for a role? It was funny.
