Mate, I'm still so caught up in the excitement I can't even pick four....there's so many to choose from now, it's unreal....and they're all class!!!!

We could play Robbo in goal and then 10 out of the 12 and you forgot Keano who ends up in midfield much of the time

No Carrick?

And why are people putting the new lefty in when we haven't even seen him play?

(I whole-heartedly apologise if you have and can therefore come to the conclusion he is better than Lee)

Carrick wont be with us next season,& i would expect to lose at least reid, marny, routledge & perhaps murphy.
the midfield will be lennon zokora jenas tianio, unless we buy a specialist leftie.

well now england are on their way back from baden baden we should be able to sort out the whole carrick saga. i hope he stays but if not we have zokora & the hudd so we can cope.

i never rated him before the WC but when he did come on he did ok, not sure if i want to see him in a spurs shirt but we could sign worse

Yeah, he would balance us a bit more but would rather Duff at the mo

highlander
2nd July 2006, 03:58 PM
yes that he would do, his defensive capability's are good for a winger and with Lee being as forward going as he is, it may not be as bad an idea as first thought

Don't think we'll get Duff as reports are that he's signing a 2-year extension. Not terribly excited about Downing as his style is typical EPL, full of running and not enough guile and creativity. He'll be found wanting in Euro games. Better to sign some winger from Europe. Wilhemsen is no worse than him and might be have for half that price.

Yeah....I would be rather disappointed if we did sign Downing. He's massively overrated and definately nowhere near worth £7million.

Lennon Carrick Zokoro Jenas, I would have Zokoro as the holding player and allow Carrick to be the playmaker, I know that Jenas is not a left sided player but with his energy he would be my choice unless we buy somone for that posistion.

Nicolae Mitea on the left.

also think Reto can do it for us , certainly give him a chance in the lesser games .

didnt rate Babel in the games he played at WC
