Ok, so I know many of you may look at newsnow too. And maybe you all check out that website too. But these people who post on it, whether its bullshit or not, get me a little excited by what they write.

On the gossip website today Spurs were mentioned 4 times. Only two are worth talking about. If that.

Phil with the gossip on Carrick
Aparently Tottenham are discussing the terms of a transfer with Michael Carrick and Mancheser United. This isn't new gossip however the type of deal they are discussing is very interesting.
Apparently if Carrick is to go the will be the same amount first bid by Manchester United which is an amount of 10 to 12 million pounds and some sort of make weight in the deal which seems to be drawing ever nearer. The main target for Tottenham Hotspur in this deal is the left sided attacking midfielder Sun Ji Park. It seems that this deal would work out well for both clubs as Manchester United would fill the hole in the center of midfield and would be able to give more first team time to players like Kieran Richarson and Duncan Fletcher. The offer would also be good for Sun Ji Park as the South Korean international as he would link up with friend and compatriot Lee Pyo Yo at Tottenham. As this deal grows closer it looks like this may be the only option as Manchester United do not want to spend more on the player and Sun Ji Park hasn't impressed at Manchester United this season and has had a series of lack lustre performances in the world cup as South Korea didnt qualify for the next round.
Other possible make weights in this deal are Ruud Van Nistlerooy, John Oshea and Kieran Richardson however Sun Ji Park looks the most likely option.

Marc with gossip from a director at Spurs
A few pieces of info regarding Spurs. From a director at spurs who knows friends of mine very well. 1 If Carrick goes to Man utd then spurs want Gary Neville as part of the deal, to fill the right back problem. 2 Also a player plus cash swap deal spurs want Benayoun with Reid going the other way. 3 SWP and Duff on a season long loan.

So any thoughts on any of these possible signings...

Hope they are all bollocks. Benayoun would be worth a punt if its a swap with Reid though. And the neviller's a great right back just old. We'll have to replace him in 2years anyway and man u would have to tell him he's surplus for him to leave coz he wont otherwise.

Dunno mate, I've given up second guessing any transfer dealings. I'm just sitting back and allowing the bullshit to wash straight over me (there's a lot and it's not very pleasant) and having a good chuckle along the way. Can anyone explain why we would want to sign Paul Kuntchesky when;

1. We could have signed him on a free 2 seasons ago

2. We've already signed the best young left back in France

3. He's distincly average, as proven in the few games he pulled on a Spurs shirt?

Not so long ago the rumours seen in papers had an element of truth about them or at least made some sense. It appears now that the press are merely content to link random players to random clubs presumably on the basis that if they throw enough dirt some of it will stick. Twaddle and nonsense! (until we see the photo on the back pages anyway. ;) )

It would help if they could tell us ANYTHING at all.

I'm actually gonna cry if this falls through. Well probably not...maybe just throw a few things around the office...

can't see us going for neville if luke young is up for grabs, value would probably be much the same. Doesn't say much for the standard of right backs in the game at the mo.

I actually admire their care - there is no point publishing anything until he has passed his medical and signed on the dotted. Otherwise we'll all get a boner too early and shoot our beans unnecessarily.

As for the post by spurs61, reminds me of ruomurs we were interested in Luke Young. ****ing unbelievable - sell a player who can't cut it to minnows like Charlton, then buy him back 2 years later? I would not image playing with international legends like Jason Euell and Herman Herrrrrrrrradison (sic) will have improved him any.....

If a make weight is included in a Manure deal, the only acceptable one is Richardson. Otherwise should be stright cash. Park is no left-sided player and we have too many central MFs already.

Park and Lee used to play on the left for PSV, this could mean they have a quality understanding...

Also think of the mecrhandising aspect. With the two South Korean players who play in the premier both playing for Spurs...lots of cash in a market we are trying to crack into...

I have a friend who is a Man-Utd season ticket holder and he says Park is crap, he says the people who sit near him reckons he is one of Fergusons worst buys. I have seen him a couple of times and IF we sell them Carrick we will be getting a guy who is no better then Reid,Ziegler etc.

And there you have the major underlying problem in Football today. The same reason Beckham is at Real Madrid. He makes them so much money they can't afford to sell him.

Yep that's why they bought him in the first place.
