Carrick is now being linked with amove to Real, being as it's 'i'm a ****ing retard' season over there, (the presidential election is on) Lorenzo Sanz reckons he's agreed to sign Carrick. Someone give the man a tissue, please, as I'm sure there's shite in the corner of his mouth.

Every bl00dy year its the same thing with Real and the Presidential elections...
a few seasons ago someone said they would sign Viera... or Wenger was gonna become their manager if candidate A became Pres....
But lol it never happens

I think Carrick going Madrid would be good. It might mean we get Ronaldo for free...:-)

And they will also be signing Johan Cruyff (1970 version), Diego Maradonna (1986 version) and Jesus Christ (1 AD version) to complete their squad of galicticos.
Perhaps, when the circus has left Madrid, we will hear some sensible suggestions as to who they may be signing. Until then I think it's fairly safe to laugh at anything coming out of the Bernabue. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Real fan.........

 silly season has started then. There presidential elections are far more engaging than our general elections....

I think you may have hit upon something there; next general election I want to hear who David Cameron is going to sign if he becomes Prime Minister, presumably there will be a fair few right wingers coming in with the odd central midfield. And much like Spurs he has an aversion to signing any genuine lefties.

Perhaps we can play Man Utd off against Real & really get top dollar for Mr Carrick ? 25 million anyone ?
I won't be upset if MC is still at WHL next season mind ...

Well if he wants to leave, a bidding war is the best thing that could happen for us.

I hope we do not sell Carrick, but if we do I'd rather he went abroad then to the red shite.

Agree there - I've never forgiven them for taking Sheringham away from us.

If that's true, we're probably looking at a few million more.

Definately. £20M+ is amazing profit, and if Real aren't 100% full of bullshit then we could we see the price pushed up. Let's hope he puts in a few more good performances at the WC, which will only help in increasing the fee. If Martin still wants to keep him after recieving a £20M bid then he must see something in Carrick that we don't.

20 melons ? Surely you jest sir ?
Quick where do we sign ? Carrick is a good player, but that's a very good deal. It'd pay for Berbatov, Zokora & a few mil left over ... good business from where I'm standing.

any election is rigged with bullshit promises and gestures which remain unfulfilled - the real madrid election the same. if i was running for pres i'd start talking about the defenders i was gonna sign - not any more attackers. their defence is shocking and becks hasn't won a trophy since he's been there. anyone for a beckham plus cash for carrick deal? I certainly would.

beckham is a liability he's so slow. which reminds me does zokora take set pieces? hope it was him that was wipping corners in.
