With only six games left, here we are sitting in fourth place - but what a six games they are going to be! Where does everyone feel we finish the season? Where does everyone feel we deserve to finish the season? And what could as a successful season in your eyes?

Everyone will have a different view on this but as far as I am concerned this has been one of the best seasons we have had in many years. Without doubt we are on the way up and if I am honest we are probably the best of the rest and this is why we have been in 4th spot for the majority of the season.

I said at the start of the season qualifying for Europe is the only measure of success and if we finished 6th I'd be over the moon. There is still a lot to do and there are positions that still need to be improved upon before we can really challenge.

The real test will be next season, will we still be up there or will we be fighting around 6th - 8th spot. Personally with the right signings and the experience of this season behind us I think we will be challenging.

i think we'll finish 5th, which i'll be over the moon with.

arsenal have it far too easy over the next month, its almost as if its meant to be!!!

both bolton and blackburn have tough games coming up against good sides and sides with something to play for and if we can pick up 4points in our next two games and stay undefeated against man utd, we could be out of sight of both of them by easter weekend.

blackburn have pompey away, liverpool home and birmingham away while bolton have liverpool away, chelsea home and WBA away coming up in the next 10 days. as you can see, theyve gotta play top three sides and bottom three sides away from home...never easy at this stage. blackburn also have chelsea to play while bolton have birmingham last day of the season and us before that.

if it all goes according to form and we beat bolton at the lane, we could be quite comfortable in 5th, ableit a few points behind the goons who are surely going to overtake us with games against wba, citeh, sunderland and wigan sandwiching us.

our best hope is for man utd to beat them this weekend and for us to win, then we have a five point gap again. then we realistically have to win another three games and not lose to them at the library to hold onto 4th, or at least not let go without one hell of a fight.

its exciting and i cant wait.

I Think We Deserve 4th Spot But Will Get 5th. Alot Depends On The Next Two Games, Man City At Home And Everton Away, If We Get 4 Points We Will Get 5th For Sure, Anyone Agree?

We are guarantee 6th, which means Europe through the league for this first time in 22 years!! Given the amount of manger, chairmen and pounds we've been through in those years that'll be an achievement. However, lets just see where we are after this week, if Manure do us a favour we could be in a good position with a nothing to play for Everton to follow. Lets attack from the offset and get Murphy involved for Davids

In a way I hope the Arse beat Juve, they will then have a fixture pileup ( including the rearranged game at portsmouth) and Spurs sandwiched between the next two Champions league games at Villareal.
I think then we will have a better chance of staying in 'our' 4th place considering the way they have been playing recently.
I still think its ours to lose.......

Do we really deserve to be in the CL? And if we qualify will we get very far or will it be a disappointment. Lets get real! A UEFA spot would be great and we have a better chance to do well and evolve as a team. if this happens then we can move on and try CL next season. It really won't be a great loss to finish 5th other than have the Gooners looking down on us.

Do we deserve to be in the CL? If we finish in 4th place then of course we do! Even if we slip out at the first stage we're in the UEFA (fingers crossed we don't do an Everton!) But, with a couple of decent signings which, with new money coming in from shirt and sponsor plus healthy financial state, looks likely, why not have a go at the group stages?!?

Still don't think we'll make 4th, but I'll be cheering Man U and hoping the boys can pick up 6 points from Man City and Everton and if we do............ just imagine!

I think our next two games will have a big say in it. If we can pick up 6pts which will not be easy then with thier fixture pile up maybe we can hold on to 4th.

Hmm, well before the forum moved I spent a good 20 minutes predicting the scores of Ours, Scums, Boltons and Blackburns final games.
I concluded that;
Finish:
Spurs - 64 points
Arsenal - 67 points
Blackburn - 63 points
Bolton - 59 points

Bolton had the hardest run in, followed by us. Blackburn have a nice few games coming up, but I predict if they are even in form, that we will get 5th spot. Shame, but unless we pick up and Arsenal drop form, then we WON'T get forth - as I'm sure you're all quite aware anyway.

I think thats spot on analyses actually. I've tried to work out the points as well. But I actually had us getting a draw at the bar codes :(
