View Full Version : This little piece of dirty gossip...

Whilst surfing on the web - meaning looking at newsnow - I always come across the same website of which shares the rumours of the day which people have left on there.

The site in question is www.worldcupengland2018.com

The gossip of which, although I do not believe - is quite interesting though - is this little piece...

Spurs to nick Gunners Old Boy from Luke
Spurs will bring Vierra back to North London using money freed up with the sale of Carrick. Vierra has not had the best of times in Italy and Spurs have offered him a way back into the premier league.

'Luke' has the nerve to suggest our club - of which honour and pride seeps from every brick - will buy one of the old guard of which we have fought against for so long.

I for one would not like this, but as the threat of relegation looms large for Juve, it is very plausible that signings like this may, for this season at least, become a reality.

Your thoughts please........

not a progressive signing, and although he looked better yesterday i wouldn't want him.

No. Not at all. Don't want him.

I agree he is too old and past his prime now.

Yes, I reckon Wenger sold him at exactly the right time. He is not worth £13M now, in the market or in ability.

I'd agree with all of the above except for two issues, firstly how pissed off would all the Goons be if we signed Viera, they think he bleeds red and white instead of being just another mercenary footballer. The second point is that Viera is a winner very much in the same mould as Edgar or (dare I say it) Roy Keane and as such he provides a platform for success. I'd take him in a shot but only if we lost Edgar.

Absolutely not. And we cannot castigate Campbell for his perfidy and then accept into our ranks one of the arch Gooners from past years......would rather **** a porcupine than see Viera in the lillywhite

Well said, we can't go having double standards, and Vieira to me represents Arsenal more than anything else. He only represents Juve NOW, but he owes his career to the scum, more specifically Wenger.

I would say why not if Jol sees him as an improvement to our cause. If he is rightfully on the market, it would be stupid to ignore him as his case is quite contrarary to ****ball. If we win and go above the Arse with him, it would rub more salt in. Anyway, he had been an honest enemy before and new alliances can be made with erstwhile enemies when we know that they had acted and will continue to act with honour.

Our very own Jennings did cross over to them once and we accepted him back, and he is still very much one of us.

Which is a fair point Chinaman.

Whilst I would love to see the ****ing scum crying over it, and it would certainly be much bigger payback for them taking Judas, I can't condone such a signing.

That said, I could not stomach seeing him at the Lane. Can you imagine every Gooner's reaction i.e. Yids taking our rejects/cast-offs, Arsenal Seconds etc. Bollocks to that. No player nowadays who truly loved either club would cross the divide, which made Hol ****ball's defection the harder to take or forgive. The ****ing chutney ferret....

They would have him back in a heartbeat, it's a bit like saying that Shevchenko is a Milan reject.

Can you imagine a central midfield of Zokora and Viera (assuming Carrick and Davids leave), I can't think of a better more dynamic and aggressive pairing and with Teemu as a back-up, other teams would surrender 24 hours before kick-off just to save their midfield from being massacred!

But then would we not then be considered as trying to be like Arsenal what with the amount of French and African players at the club...?

Some were saying about this when we bought in the new left-back and now Zokora, if Vieira were to join it would just bring this back up...

I don't care where they come from. I only care whether they are good enough to win for us.

Welsh Spur
28th June 2006, 02:21 PM
That's fair enough. So do people hate the players or the name? I.E Do you hate all things arsenal or just arsenal per se. Over here i get shit from my fellow welshmen, welshmen who support English team like me, for supporting England. But what I say is, for example, you support ManU, they have Rooney, Ferdinand, Neville etc etc and you like them in a ManU shirt but hate them in an England shirt? I don't get it....which stems to my point, do you hate a player because he plays for Arsenal or do you just hate Arsenal? going back to campbell, would people like him again if he went to fenerbache or whatever, or still hate him coz he was scum?

I loathe all things Arsenal, even when players/managers leave the club they are still tainted with the filth which eminates around the place. However I would not be so small minded as to turn down a player who would improve Spurs because of their previous allegiences. Besides which, if we were to sign a Viera or even an Henry then surely that would demonstrate to all that there is no such thing as loyalty in modern football and the so-called affection between the Goons and these foreign players is purely fictional and bears no relevance on their desicion to play for one club or another.

As a slight caveat to this I wouldn't take back Campbell if he was the last defender on earth AND paid us to play him. There are somethings in life which are unforgiveable regardless of who he ends up playing for.

Welsh Spur

So it's situational? I kinda agree, I mean I hate Arsenal but how many of you would actually say that you'd turn down the chance to sign Henry for Spurs?
Campbell ****ed us over big time, and that's why i hate him. Not only cost us about £20million that we could have got at the time, (by selling him when we could instead of keeping him coz he said he'd stay) but went to the ****ing scum of all teams. Bastard.

well look at the flip side of it, when campbell went to the scum, they loved it and rubbed it in our faces for ages. if we were to sign viera and we did achieve big things, would you all welcome him into the spurs ranks??

We used to buy over the hill players and even after last nights performance he is one, we do not need to do that now, and we need to keep Carrick.

buy him dirt cheap, then let him rot in the reserves and just bring him out for the away game , totally fired up to break Lehmans neck , then sell him to West Ham
