If we have not quit chasing Kuyt, we better do so. He is only worth having at 2-3 million and as 4th striker in our squad. Only more mobile than Rasiak.

Never seen Kuyt play until this World Cup, and wasn't impressed at all. Hope we don't waste our money on him.

I think the Van Man is more likely.

Kuyt's a decent enough player on his day which, playing in the dutch league, happens quite a lot. last night against the portugeezers he was poor and if RVN or Jan Venegoor Of Hesselink had started, they would have gone through.

I don't think he'll cut it over here.

possibly a 15-goal-a-season man but nothing world class. Klass Jan Huntelaar, he is going to be a great player, better than Kuyt anyday

Yeah I saw a clip of him on Youtube, a small but well executed bicycle kick, he looked good but thats all I've seen of him TBH.

he was top scorer in the dutch league as well last season, scored more the Kuyt and was somehow left out of the squad

Dutch squad had a few glaring omissions.....Davids, Maakay, Seedorf....

van basten's to up himself trying to make his mark by leaving out all the experienced players and it cost them their WC place. if RVN had played last night, they would have at least gone to extra time

I think he's off to Bayern. They seemed to have realised that having Maakay in their team is appealing to him, however the Bundesliga is a bit shite. He'll deffo win stuff there though, that league is almost as much of a banker for Bayern as the SPL is to Celtic.

and it will be even more predictable now that we've signed the best player in the bundesliga

I can't wait for next season. It's going to be more anticipated than the last. By a mile.

definately, we really seem to be pushing the boat out now for CL football

If we sign Duff and that elusive right back then I really think we have nothing to fear next year.

I heard today that there is a contract on offer to him from the Arse. I'd love to snatch him from them, probably the best in the Tunisian team. But his agent has been quoted as saying he wants CL football, which we won't be able to give him till next season.

Kuyt may be a good player but I have not been impressed so far, however I would rather have Berbi, Keane or Defoe in the team then him and for what we would have to pay for him we should forget him.

Welsh Spur

Yep. We don't need him. Especially at that price.

yep hav to agree dirk looked very poor during world cup he neva 1ce justified £10million plus askin price, but i think holland were themselves very poor, lacked passion and pace and quality... van der sar stood out...neva realy got a chance to see babel, and even helselink of venegoor looked better than kujt,:) think it wud be a step up 4 kujt but lets remember he stil young, he wud do well in prem, but wud need few months to get upto pace of prem...maybe his pricew will drop 6-7 million worht a go.. lot of mony but he young...

would be wary of judging anyone on just world cup performances , look at gerrard , lampard , shevchenko, ronaldinio . dont think any have performed at their best , and they are meant to be some of the best in the world at their jobs . but agree dirk hasnt impressed at all ,

Which is weird, because he's not french:p

Welsh Spur

Hhaha. Replacement for Bergkamp and all that innit, apparently Kuyt will find this to hard to resist and join them, especially as Wenger said on French TV that he's been watching him.

i think that has to be a cover for someone else, what on earth would arsenal want with kuyt. I would think they would be more interested in martins or torres.

Welsh Spur

Torres is shit hot. If he's gonna come to England then I hope it's not the scum. Or Chelski. Or Manure. Or Liverpool. Oh, sod it, we have to sign him!

Kuyt reeks of a Boro or Newcastle signing. We just don't buy that sort of rubbish these days.

Watched him playing against portugal . He sucked and we don't do divers even klinnsman wised up when he came.we should show some balls and break the bank for torres.
