Dont know if any of you guys are watching the Villa v Liverpool game today but guess where Robbie's playing........ I guess you would call it a inside left forward position or left wing.
So far Robbie hasnt scored, plus he's been subbed twice I think and now hes playing left wing. It just amazes me how quick he was out the door and he didnt even think about what would happen to him. We all said it, so Robbie you've made ya bed now lie in it.
You know what will happen now, he'll go on and score a couple today:D
Update: Torres has been injured and has gone off and hes put N'gog up front instead of Keane, that just says it all.

not a bad option to take him on a free after his contract expires.

It's amazing how Rafa finds ways to **** up. Keane on the left, what a joke. He needs time in his position to settle in and get going for his new club.

Rafa seems to have lost the plot. Babel is the closest thing to a quality winger he's got but he never starts him. Instead he opts for Kuyt, Keane or Lucas on the wing all of which aren't wingers. Rafa is good at what he does but it's bloody awful to watch.

I still think the Pool are there for the taking...its a big if, but if we can get it together we could be pushing right up the table....
Next few fixtures
Villa (h)
Wigan (h)
Pompey (a)
Hull (h)
Stoke (a)
I want 12/13 points from that lot...that shoud see us back in the top half hopefully and thats what we need to recover from the bad start.
We have two weeks for King to recover....the Villa game is still huge in my eyes....if that ends up a draw i will do my nut.

that is a 12 pointer in my eyes but would take a draw with villa and pompey if we win the other 3 games!!
These games will decide our season and if we are real contenders for top 5.
If we sign velosa then anythings possible!

Me too. The Villa game is a must win or it's same old Tottenham show up for the big games and play shit when we should win. If Ledley plays that'll be 3 games in a row wwoooohhhhooooooooo:D maybe he's not ****ed after all
Gomes, Woody and King is a top quality platform to build a CL team on we just need Veloso AND Diarra infront of them that would be class

Corluka could well be in then too. Reading reports that Pompey may have to sell Diarra, not sure if thats accurate though. Would love Veloso, but if that didn't happen Diarra would do nicely. We need one of them though...please dont have our hopes shattered by not signing a top class DM...thats the one position I want sorted most tomorrow.
If someone says to me Arshavin or Veloso...my pick would be Veloso..simple as. Even though Arshavin is class.

yeah me too even Diarra we just need a DM who knows what he's doing and is capable of playing a simple pass
I hope we're not all left disappointed tomorrow night

Well when all are fit the only position that is very weak is dm, so that is the priority. Hopefully we also get more than that, a centre half, another cm possibly, another striker.

If berba is sold surely it has to be Veloso (or diarra) and Corluka at the very least. With another striker of some sort.

I just hope its not just Corluka and say like Milto, with Berbastrop leaving - that would piss me off.

what's funny is if you could take JJ and Zok and make one CM you'd have a bloody cracker player
Zok always turns up and is strong and full of energy but he just doesn't have the skill or technique
JJ rarely turns up and is a weakling but when he does he's got bags of skill and good technique

You know I still think that player would be a great let down on the ball, JJ is, so why would a ZOKORA Jenas combo be any different? I still think that player wouldn't be good enough, although better.

because JJ can complete a simple 5-10 yard pass and has decent ball control and Zok can tackle and is a strong player who doesn't get bullied off the ball alot. A JJ Zok combo would make a top quality DM.

Well okay it would be acceptable, but JJ's passing is still average and goes hiding from responsibilities of taking the ball. That combo would still be nowhere near Essien as far as I am concerned. Essien is worth three players, he's an absolute collosus.

Essien is one of the best CMs in the world but Zokora still went toe to toe with him yesterday and came out on top more times than not. In the first half Zokora held our midfield together and didn't get bullied by noone unlike JJ or Modric who got pushed around abit. JJ has everything in his locker but rarely shows up and Zokora has very little in his locker but always shows up hence combining them would make on hell of a player.

I think I was reading on the The Times last week some journo discussing Keane. He was basically saying he should have stayed at us, with all the service he will be getting. He has taken the chance to play for his boyhood team to be played out of position and no get any service when he is playing in position.
One day, with modern science the notion of Jenora the super-mutated midfield player might happen. When it does happen it will save us time posting, only having to slag one player off instead of two.
