would the spurs plan be signing chenko, after that sell berba, then splashes the cash on arshavin? this way it would be much easier as they already have the chemistry of playing together, things might click much faster
another question, why the hell didnt we bid for fabiano?

seville wouldn't do business I imagine.
arshavin is virtually guranteed to be a sucess for us IMO. Pav I'm not too sure on.
The highest quality video of pavs goals I have come across, he looks very good:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR0iy6mmbGc
Top goalscorers 07-08
Player Goals (pen.) Team
Roman Pavlyuchenko 14 (2) Spartak Moscow
Roman Adamov 14 (3) Moskva
Jô 13 (1) CSKA Moscow
Vágner Love 13 (2) CSKA Moscow
Pavel Pogrebnyak 11 (2) Zenit
Dmitri Sychev 11 (2) Lokomotiv Moscow
Andrei Arshavin 10 Zenit
I didnt realise goals were so hard to come by in the russian league. pav scored 28% of his teams goals.
jo who city signed scored 13 goals last season.

Isn't it strange that Pavlyuchenko has said all summer that he is happy at Moscow and that he doesnt want to sign for Spurs, then all of a sudden he is on the verge of signing? Maybe this means that the Arshavin deal is more or less done?? Hmmmm.....

I would say Arshavin will come, 90% anyway. Think about it, we are replacing one partnership with another. It makes perfect sense, those two through international level know each others game very well. Not to mention they well settle in better.

I think Levy would be much more obliged to stick his hand in his pocket for Arshavin, now that Pavlyluchenko is on his way. It does look like the plan is to replace the Keane-Berba partnership, with another strong Russian partnership. That is probs why Levy has been holding out over a move for Arshavin though, as he probs sees £20M too steep for him on his own, for the pure fact that he may not fit in well and many other reasons. But of course, with another player that Arshavin plays well with at international level, then the chance of him doing well increases, so ithink he'd be more willing to take that chace now.

thing is after we buy them They will partner up
Juande isn't too scared to swap and add bent or gio in
give things a try
then we could be doing good all ways
as long as he doesn't do lone striker
coz that is really pissing me off

There was talk earlier in the month that they wanted to keep him until after the Super Cup game with manure on friday. It doesn't really matter if he gets here before the chavski game or not because we'll get battered regardless.

Right there seems to be a lot of people on the forum, we should start a thread to see who can edit Wikipedia with the best/funniest results, then post the page to prove it.

I would say Arshavin is almost guarentee'd (spelling eek), as I said in another thread, it could have been the sweetner that changed Pav's mind about coming to England.
He didn't want to come originally, he doesn't speak any English and was happy in Moscow. If we told him he wouldn't be coming alone and that a Russian team mate would be following him very shortley it may have been enough for him to change his mind.
