he's only good in the french league which doesnt say much as their league is crap, from what ive seen in this WC he is poor but at under-21 level he was amazing. there should be more to come from him but not a lot

He's very energetic. He was all over the pitch, literally, chasing and hassling but he showed serious inexperience with his end product. Like you said, for the French league he may have what it takes, but i can't see it in the prem.

i don't think you'd get any value out of him, he's more of a gareth barry/andy reid than a lennon or routledge.

I think he has a big potentiel... He may not be worth the 25 mill. he's rated to but he's really talented.. He's very energetic, extremely quick, good with both of legs and a great dribler. His end product may lack a bit, but I recall a lot of people saying the same thing about Lennon 6 months ago. He maybe a little inexperienced, but a few years at Lyon, and he will be a top class player..

I have to disagree with that comment to be honest! admittedly he is not as fast as Lennon (who is) but he is quick and i would rate his pace in the same bracket as jenas'.

what is up with his face? He is pushing Tevez for the ugliest player in the tournament. why does he shave a patch of hair on one side? has he been in some kind of fire accident?

Car accident when he was a kid.

I'm glad we didn't sign him....seems like we'd have been paying these 'extortionate' prices that are now common place....More and more I think we're in very capable hands.

Right, he did pretty much what he wanted to tonight and showed why he's been rated to 25 mill.

Yeah he looked better today. The goal clearly lifted alot of pressure off him. He's a real engine, can't deny that. He was all over the pitch to the final whistle hassling spain.

He was very, very good today; but is still a long way from being 25 million pounds. If he can consistently play like today, I'll take him for 12 million.

Totally agree... He's not worth the 25 mill. But he's a big talent and he showd that today..

Ribery would probably be a good signing at around £7million pounds.

Ribery looked class 2night... now I see what all the French were raging about..
Espically when they dropped Guily for him, due to a public out cry for Ribery to be in the squad

I agree with that, he has not shown why so much money should spent on him over the whole tournament. TBH, he has missed chances that should be put away with ease, and whilst he may have played ok in one game, at a level where we want to be, that just isn't good enough considering the amount we would have to pay.

could the france/ribery saga be close to england/lennons? - only lennon looks more impressive and is NOT being played as much...
Chinaman

Lennon is a lot faster, but it seems that Robbery has more experience in the middle and thus looks more composed there. As Jol said that he thinks Lennon could play in the hole in future, there is no reason to doubt that given half a season playing a roving role, Lennon cannot be just as effective, if not more then Robbery in the middle. So in conclusion I still think Lennon would evolve into a better player then Robbery.

Seriously if Lennon is used properly for the remainder then he will inflict some damage. Portugal won't know what the **** to do, foul him and get booked or watch him fly past....And I don't care what anyone says, Brazil's defence is shite....they haven't played a strong team yet and if France can pull another performance out the bag they'll beat them.

Had the Ghanians had more luck and confidence they could have beaten Brazil.

he did play well but i think the jury is definately still out and the brazil game will be the test to see if he is a decent enough player to play for a good team
