Yet again...another player we don't need at this stage, we now have a glut of left footers having previously had a dearth, Bale, Gilberto, BAE, Gio and Modric. Why even consider this when there are other areas of the team which require urgent attention??
After a promising start to this transfer window we are fast begining to look like bungling idiots. I fear my prediction of Rasiak and Rocha mark two may come to fruition.

agree with Spurs61 - i hope we have not been concetrating all efforts on Arshavin to the exclusion of anything else, or we will either be forced to hang on to the Bulgarian Pout or panic buy (viz Raziak). Personally i thought we were getting broked into buying a flavour of the month who cam with no guarantees of settling.

Good player but I agree. The most pressing issue is a CB and DM. We should be forking out 20 mil in these two positions to get real quality.

Me neither I can't wait til this window closes, I've got afew wishes though
1. Berbatov stays
2. Arshavin is signed up
3. Corluka is signed up
4. Another versitile defensive player is signed up
I'd be happy with the first 3 until January but the 4th is also needed because odds are Ledley has wobbly knees and it's nothing to do with Wembley and Daws is a donkey.

Yeah I just posted in the other transfers thread maybe we could give Jol Zokora and Boateng for De Jong he ticks all the right boxes for a DM enforcer. Wishful thinking I know.:(

Try reading up on the reasons behind the transfers instead of cottoning on to choda's lazy bullshit. VDV was in the last year of his contract and they faced losing him for nothing at the end of the season, plus Madrid offered the 10m that was in his contract for a transfer to be activated. Kompany has only played 29 league games in his 2 seasons there and, to quote Hamburg's website, "During his time in Hamburg, Vince was unable to fulfill his or our expectations."

Arshavins a yiddo:D
arshavins situation is similar to berbas. Do we play him against sunderland. If berba is not giving 100% on the pitch it will harm our chances of a win. Tricky decision for ramos. Also if we keep berba past the transfer window will he put the effort in or will he sulk?
lol

Juande Ramos:
"As I said on Thursday, I needed to wait and speak to the player when he returned from international duty and then make a decision about whether or not he was right to play in this game. I have not selected him as I do not think that he is focused enough and I do not feel that he will be good for the dressing room and the team effort.
"It doesn't matter how good a player is, if he is not in the right frame of mind, then he will not perform well. The only thing I concern myself with is picking the best team to try and win the game.
"I shall talk to the player tomorrow, he is our player and we shall work with him at training."
Amen!!!
So **** Berba and focus on the Russian....

well im sure with Berbs playing, we couldnt have been any worse than we were.
You should never leave your best player out if hes fit, never cos you WILL be accused of not wanting the team to win, and lo and behold for the last two games we didnt win.

I dont want arshavin anyway as he isnt 'that' good to be honest. He isnt worth anywhere near the fee which is being touted. Hes just hyped up after a few flashes of brilliance at the euros. He proved that he was'nt that good when the spanish defence kept him quiet all game after the pre-match hype he received prior to the game.
It's said that u should never buy a player purely on his performances at an international tornement, dont think he would cut it in the premiership and its a big risk to take with that sort of money. we are going to end up with a team of light weight foreigners with no passion or pride at this rate.

your spouting crap, considering you have only seen him in the euros (where he got motm against sweden and holland) you dont really have any idea how good he is.
Oh he also got motm when russia beat england 2-1 and motm in the uefa cup final.

It just illustrates some fans ignorance of anything outside of the premiership.
