It's so goddamn frustrating!!! England should be pissing all over everyone....at least the teams they so far played. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!

They should, We have World Class players in every position and no team should scare us. But it does help to have a coach who is tacticially astute and not one who has the i.q of a piss pot and i can't see it getting better under McClaren i did read that there was a position for Venners @ the FA maybe there trying to work Terry back in.

I can't begin to express how frustrated I am with Sven. How can one man sabotage our most promising squad in years, who are at their prime and everyone in the football world agreed had a real chance this time, is absolutely beyond me.

I know we had our problems with Rooney, but there is no excuse foe Sven's amateurish dealing of this tourney. We should sue the **** out of principle if we do not win the world cup!

Why do you think that? Do other teams not have a line up of star players. Some even have passion and deserve the win as much as England.

Why should England piss over teams that have earned the right to play in the WC and when England play with campbell, A Cole, Theo who? and past it becks?

Simply because, IMO, no-one can claim to have a better squad of players. They can, however, claim to have a better manager.

I think we will take portugul apart, I really do.

Why, I dunno.

I sound stupid.

I also think that the overdue good performance will come and revenge will be exacted. Just please drop Frank 'Double vision' Lampard, play more of Lennon, and then add the fact that Figo and Ronaldo are doubts, Deco and Costinha are banned, if they don't win then they never deserved to. Every team from here on in is of the highest quality, so the '5th gear' needs to be found.

i reckon we can and will beat them, after 5 years sven will come good

We need to hit third and forth gear before fifth!

I still think Sven is useless, they were saying on five live this morning that he watches ITV at half time so he can change his tactics accordingly.. haha

with deco costinha and probably ronaldo out we should have a good chance. I fancy someone to mark Ronaldo out of the game even if he does play, I think Carragher could contain him brilliantly.

Although i'm not a great fan of any manager. He's got it about right so far.
He's kept everyone guessing as to how,who and what he's going to play.
If the expected teams reach the Qfinal stage they will be working out the permutations and most are totaly thrown by how to play Brazil (even the Brazilians don't know how they do it).
How should anyone play against England at the moment ?
No one has stood out. They haven't played as a team. They can change their formation to suit. They are getting results and have yet to get out of 2nd gear.
And if thats not enough the manager has taken all the flak the great british gutter press can dig up about him and still survive.
i just got a feeling about this :D

Does that include himself?

I'm sure he hasn't a clue even now after 4 games in charge.

I'm also quite positive that he picks his team and formation on whatever that mornings paper thinks. The lines of what the media want, and what Sven actually does seem to run too close at times.

If England beat Portugal how does everybody think the media's expectation and tone will change? I reckon straight from critical and cynical to praise and assumption. Just like that.

fortunately based where i am , i have missed all the crap that appears in the media during the build up and during the actual competition that occurs at every major sporting event.
but judging by past experiences the papers will go overboard one way or the other , whilst always giving themselves an out and a way of saying "i told you so " .
