"At the time the players in front of Bentley, like Ljungberg and Pires were better than him.

"He wanted to play more central, in the Dennis Bergkamp role, and I felt at the time he was not ready. He would be more ready today."


interesting especially the last part Wenger seems to rate him quite highly

He could play quite centrally for spurs in a three, he looks very comfortable on inside, but his delivery is top class too.

I can see the team being a kind of 433 at times with him inside and other times in a straight 442 with him on the right.

I thought his debut was very impressive. He looks like he is totally unfazed which has delighted me as I did have my doubts. But he looks as confident and sharp as ever and will likely improve with better players around him.

Delivery is excellent and will create many chances.

I have to say it looks like another very good signing.
