With us apparantly buying and selling everyone who can kick a ball (and some who can't), does anyone have any news about what is happening with Reto Ziegler? I still have not heard anything that makes sense to explain why he isnt given another chance on the left as I thought he did well when given a chance. In the abscence of hard fact I'll settle for informed comment or failing that, tittle-tattle will do.

I've heard Jewell saying that he did well for Wigan and they would have liked to keep him, but that spurs wanted him back. And that he has returned to spurs already.. I heard him say that about a month ago...

...as well as defendi (the brazilian defender no-one ever saw) and all the other young stars of the future arnesen bought in that have just completely failed to make any impact at all!!!

on the subject of Defendi he was loaned out to Udinese last season as he had an italian passport and hadnt yet got a british one, i still have faith he'll be alright or maybe its just the fact that id love to see a brazilian playing for the spurs

Am I right in saying that Ziegler is not in the Swiss squad at the World Cup, if so maybe he has not turned out to be as good as they thought?.

i dont think he's in the swiss WC squad but he only played about 10 games last season and only top top players who are usually international regulars can get in a WC squad with that amount of match time.
