Well seeing as no-one is posting today about the silly newspaper men - I will ask about everything in one go.

We've all had a go about Carrick and whether we should sell or stick but today he was linked with Arsenal... Personally I think we should keep him no matter what, but what do you all think about selling him to the scum?

His midfield chum must be chatting to him right now about a move away from the Lane because Jermaine Jenas has apparently said he wants out, he is worried about who we might buy and where we will play him next season. This one I am split on because although he wasn't great last season he done a good job, and scored that cracking free-kick which we are yet to be proved was not a fluke. Anyway, we could get a decent price i'm sure, even though we are still paying off his price from the last deal.

Steven Reid - I bloody hope not!

Damien Duff was linked today and everyone has already said their piece on that, and we all agreed it would be good.........

Can't think of what else although i'm sure there is.

Some more news from today's papers.

Good news for those us who don't want to see Bellamy at the lane, he's been linked with a move to Liverpool.

weve also been linked a £10million move for daren bent which is complete buzzcocks. i dont believe the jenas rumour as he's been one of the mainstays in MJ's team all season and i think he deserves his place and will be excellent next season.

onto the steven reid rumour. i like him myself, hes a very athletic combative player who never seems to tire and has one hell of a strike on him. however i cant see him starting infront of carrick, jenas or for that matter tainio & davids. despite this i wouldnt be suprised if we did buy him

what a load of rubbish. i cant believe the world cup is not filling up the required column inches of the gutter press. why would either jenas or carrick want to move? why do we need another midfielder in reid? spurs have been linked to every single player since Santini's reign. im embarrassed sometimes why we are linked to morientes, ronaldo, rivaldo, guti etc the list goes on and on. We haven't bought anyone exciting since Klinsmann so I hope our next transfer is a world shaker. But thats just it. We only need a left winger and a right back so I dont want to hear anymore about bent, andy johnson, reid, kuyt, van nistelrooy etc.

ok, here's one for you all...

Who would you rather see start (if we play the same system and a true left-winger joins) out of Jenas and Teemu?

I expect this to be split, and I for one say TEEMU!

Berbatov is more talented than Klinsmann. Believe me.

i dont understand how you can see teemu was better than jenas on last seasons form. if we have carrick playing the holding role then the second central midfield position would need to be filled with someone who can score a few and on last seasons form jenas won 7-1!!!!

I hope that's true, Jurgen Klinsmann is the reason I started supporting spurs....andif we've got a better player than him and finally a decent manager....next season......i cant wait!

im really loving the 'jenas row' story frm the weekend...i mean, who the hell thought that one up?

how would anyone knw if he was unhappy with the midfield options if he's away with england. do they have his room bugged?

lets be honest, he's one of the first name down with carrick each week. he's not really got anything to worry about unless his form drastically drops.

all this talk of midfielders (reid and zokora) is, i think, down to MJs wish to adapt the side to a central midfield three with two out-an-out attackers and a 'hole' man that will occupy the wings or the space behind the strikers.

we arent going to be seeing a normal 4 across the middle and i very much doubt we'll be seeing us play with two wingers and two strikers unless one of those wingers comes inside and plays more defensively. MJ commented last season how he couldnt play routers AND lennon on both wings because it would make us weaker defensively. this would only be the case if we played with one central striker.

so in conclusion, that story is utter bollax

jenas over tainio any day. jenas is a better all round player. tainio is the new sick-note

there was a thread started a while back about jenas or tainio and who is the first choice. it was maunly agreed that jenas shoold start ahead of tainio largely due to his goal scoring record, 7 in one season from midfield isnt outstanding but its a lot better than 1. jenas is also more of an allrounder if you look at his stats
