looks like they are both jumping ship. they are pretty much an irreplacable partnership. who the **** can we sign that will do the business this season????????? when/if they both go. ive heard a few names mentioned on here santa cruz, eto'o, huntelaar to name are few but will any of them fill the void. i don't think so....we are running out of time

This forum is going round in circles with the same questions... but you are right about 1 thing, Keane and Berbatov wont be Tottenham Hotspur players this season...

If we get £20 mill for Keane and £25 mill for Berbatov, that would = £45 million, which should be wisely spent on Arshavin and Vagner love

You cannot replace Berbatov

Just sign two foreign ****witts and hope for the best

Works for the gooners.

do you think arshavin is about as good a replacement for keane that we could get? i have to say i do

having said that, we dont even know if Ramos would like to continue using the same system. he may want 1 up top ....who knows

The only player who i think that we might have a chance of getting at this moment that would replace Berbatov and wouldnt complain too much about CL football would be Arshavin... Once we sold Berba, We will definately have the money and should be able to lure him to Tottenham... Barca have already had a £12 mill bid turned down, Arsenal cant buy no big named players untill after 2025, and Chelsea are more focused on Robinho...

Funnily enough, i don't know if you can see it, but i can picture him really well in a Tottenham shirt. Maybe it's a sign.;) On a serious note, we'd need at least one replacement from the prem already, so at least they'd have some experience. I'd say Santa Cruz, but like i've said before, we could probably kiss goodbye to Bentley then, as they wouldn't sell both to us. Then get someone who's proven themselves for a few years now as a quality player, then we shouldn't have many worries.

Or we could hijack Man U's big plans and only agree to sell Berbatov in exchange for Tevez or Rooney, although i'm just getting carried away now.:o

Ive got three my first choice would be kanoute and hunterlaar. Third choice would be santa cruz. But we do need a second striker who can link up play i can't see us getting david villa but someone in the mold would be great.

But then we could play 5 in midfield with modric as link up player to bent. But the only problem is bent doesn't hold the ball up like berba.

Ramos will know who to get and i think he has allready replaced berba imo.

Would spurs pay 25million for a player like arshavin who is 28 years old and could potentially flop. He buy young and sell big i can't see levy wanting to wash away that kind of money when he wouldn't be able to recoup it.

If Kanoute returned to the Lane then i think he'd do a lot better than his last spell with us. Like i said about needing someone with premiership experience and someone with proven quality, well i think Santa Cruz and Kanoute fits the bill, very well.

Why not propose swap deals for both of them? Manure can have Berbatov for £10m plus Tevez, giving us a stike duo of Bent / Tevez.

Scousers can have Keano for a swap with Alonso. Then our DM is sorted.

See how they like them apples!

Lilywhite Lad

That would be a great plan, but even though Levy knows how to drive a hard bargain, he probs wouldn't manage that, without getting stick from Berby and Keane, and obviously rejection.

A. Tevez wouldn't want to come to spurs. B. Manu don't onw tevez they loan him form his agent, or something like that.

with all this talk of spending big on new strikers i think its important to consider that a lot of money has already been spent, something like £45million since january so the books need to be balanced. and i reckon that this could have an effect on the sum of money available to replace keane and berbs should they leave.

Well teemu, steed, chimbo and kaboul should all be moving to sunderland for 23million. Then berba to united for 30million and im guessing a minimal 15million plus for keano. Thats alot of dosh but i have a feeling ramos will be bringing in garcia and kanoute for 23million alltogeather.

I think LUis fabiano is better than kanoute IMO...We should be looking at some brazilians such as vagner love and daniel carvalho or even sergio aguero if we get enough cash.
We probably couldnt even come close to replacing Berbs unless we get someone very skillful or a wonderkid from south America as dont think anyone is close to him thats european that would leave for spurs without us being conned..
It may mean we get Someone whose a gamble i suppose for the premiership but also means were not shelling out all the money we have recieved to balance the books.
With keanes transfer an attached Alonso would be a good addition and then all we need is a CB and Maybe a winger.

Two of Huntelaar, Arshavin, Guiza and Fabiano would be nice. **** Kanoute he doesnt' suit the prem and he is getting on. Santa Cruz if we can't get the others.

Other people to think about: Crespo, Mutu, Saviola.

It's very true that we have already spent an awfully large amount of money already ourselves. The money recouped from Keane & Berba may simply be required to prevent a massive loss.

Maybe Ramos isn't panicked by this because of the potentially dynamic & pacey formation that would be available to him:

Gomes
AH - LK - JW - GB

If I was offered Crespo for free I would take him and see what he can do next year. He may have another year or two left, look at Larrson.

I only mentioned him as another guy to look at after my first choices. My top wish list being the first names I mentioned: Huntelaar, Arshavin, Fabiano.

1) Keano and Berba off, Berba to manure next week for 28mm
2) bentley in for 15mm; done, he's already bought his house
3) replacements are pavyluchenko, david villa (ramos connection) and capel

I find the Villa part highly suspicious.

Fvcking fuming...........split up with my bird to compound all of this misery...how the feck is Keane going.....there's no hope in this game anymore, everytime i here a player talking about the direction of the club and how they are so excited/happy about the club developing and the future's looks bright blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...its all just shit, i had a small hope deep within that a few players did have some loyalty and Robbie Keane was one of them.

Nevermind Lennon, its Bent who I think has the best attitude and the one who i THINK WILL BE OUR DIAMOND. Came here instead of the Spammers for less wages, quite considerable difference to if i am not mistaken.Hasn't wined and has been sitting on the bench all season. Feck it I hope he's in Juande's plans, I really do. I am so pissed off you'll have to excuse the countless mistakes in this post...I am way out with boys to get lashed.

Spot on Keano, but the problem is when the bad starts outweighing the good. My dilema is that she's great in the sac and really fit, but is doing my head in, in the main. Very high maintenance and constant need of attention, and the season will be starting soon - makes my life hell.

Why bother spending money on getting it installed into the bedroom?

Just do them over the back of the sofa. You'll still be able to watch the match, reach a beer, place conveniently near the sofa and afterwards they will be only a short walk from the kitchen to fix you a snack.

Whats happened to this thread?

Here's an analogy for ya!! we(spurs fans) are like battered housewives we love them so much that we'll take the beatings and shit that come with being a spurs fan because we love them sooooo much.

As for the relationship woes women are just amd plain and simple and we've got enough to worry about with our fricking team being ripped apart

Exactly wayners.

Why bother spending money on getting it installed into the bedroom?

Just do them over the back of the sofa. You'll still be able to watch the match, reach a beer, place conveniently near the sofa and afterwards they will be only a short walk from the kitchen to fix you a snack.

That means moving the sofa in our lounge and I'm a lazy ****:p
