well as we all know Martin has been out in germany - providing some excellent match commentaries on 5 live! what a genuinely nice intelligent person martin is - totally unlike the crash boorishness you get from the likes of wenger, mouriniho, fergie etc!

But its obvious he's not just there to reinforce his media career - must be out there with some targets in mind? wonder who he's after? He's a big fan of the unsettled robben - but would he come to us?

Anyway sure martin's going to come back with a couple of goodies for the new season - and i dont mean bil oddie and tim brooke taylor lol!

Graeme Garden perhaps?

well even the bespectacled graham would be a better choice than steven reid - cant believe we are going in for that clogger! If thats the extent of our ambitions for next season we are in trouble!

Feel sure martin must have a couple of top targets in germany! We have a history of 'stunning signings' after world cups - remember ossie and ricky in 78 and jurgen and the romanians in 94!

think robben would have come if we had been in CL.

It'll be good for him to evaluate targets first hand, particularly on those who are supposed to be in the first team, than relying on scouts entirely.

i do genuinly think he is looking at zokora and trebelsi at least, not sre who else but im sure whoever we bring in it will be a quality signing

He's going to sign Mick McCarthy as our motivational speaker.

If we're to lose Carrick I would like to see Pablo Aimar replace him. I'm sure we could pick him up for less than £15m. I'm yet to see some young up and coming star on the wing with electrifying pace and a sweet left foot but when I do then I'm sure I'll be calling for whoever it is to come to the Lane.

How about our very own Lennon? I think he must have added another 5 million pounds to his worth today. How much is he worth on the market now?

I think Liverpool have there hands all over Aimar they have offered £5m. Rafa has already met his agent but £5m seems very cheap for someone of Aimar's ability if he's available at that price i'd say go for it.

I've been watching games & taking a special interest in left wingers but no-one has really caught my eye. That 19 or 20 year old Mendes from Equador looks pretty handy but he's a righ winger.

Thought Valencia from Equador looked promising.. He's 20 years old and owned by Villareal..
