Henry and chums we're officially the most boring team of the WC. It was like watching the Scum under George Graham.

Spurs under GG wasn't all that hot either.

Thank God those days are well over and we've got good old Martin Jol now.

Anyway back on topic, France were appalling and showed no reason for us to fear them, although they probably think the same about us after our performance.

Indeed. But at least we had Ginola.

Yes he did.As much as I hate to admit, I do like watching Henry when he is on fire (with the huge exception when it is Spurs expense). However I love it too when he plays like gobshite. Viera was pants and it broke my heart seeing old man Zidane struggling to rally that pathetic side.

And Saha was shit as well. So if we buy judiciously, there's no limit what we can achieve next season seeing most of the Arse, Manure and Liverpool players struggling, which I think might carry over to the EPL.

Ageed Ribery was dire too, I never saw him in that under-21 match, I heard he was supposed to be the dogs bollox.

Ribery was a joke. hope we pull out of that one. my uncle's quicker and he's only got one leg.

Wilhelmsson / Babel would solve left midfield problem.

Every team looked off synch except the Czech's. This is only the 1st game wait until the 3rd game, then we will have a better idea of who's capable of lifting the cup. France may suffer the same 2002 blues though.

Agreeing with laspur there. We've only had the chance to judge one game so far, and I for one would hate to see England putting in their best performance in the first game..

However, France did not look as thought they had anything to offer at all and looked decidedly average. Whilst you'd be foolish to under-estimate a team containing players of such quality, I have a gut feeling that the French decline is not going to be halted at this tournament..

They were about as creative up front as England in the second half and we only had Crouch!

Also not scored in the finals since Petit's last goal in the final win in 1998.

Old man Zidane not being the worst player for France tells all about the team.
