thought i'd start a thread on our recently linked players and see what you think of them:

Iaquinta played for italy last night, bottled one really good chance but rounded the goaly to score another. Didn't look all that convincing but not many do at international level.

wilhemsson played well for sweden, played right side mostly with some roaming, also put in some smart left footed crosses. Good on the ball and quick, dived and play acted a lot tho. Expect his price to rise during the tourny.

kuyt came on late for holland, put himself about and passed well, did his job but nothing exciting. Think his price might actually depreciate lol.

babel still to play for holland.

sneider did ok in the middle and left, had little end product for his industry and has yet to shake off his sicknote tag.

zokora played a holding role for the ivorians, showed pace and forward runs, tackled ok but got himself a bit lost positionally sometimes. Having said that tracking the argies runs is not easy so we'll see in the other games how good he is. I'd still have doubts about his temperament like drogba and essien, and we'll end up paying top dollar too.

trabelsi is still to play for tunisia

ribery played most of the game for france but looked a little flustered. no end product and messed up when clean through on the goaly.

I'd only take trabelsi zokora and babel out of them and babel is the only one i've seen in video only, via youtube. The other two will be outstanding additions to our squad.

wilhemsson really made it sound like he wanted to come to us, which is never a bad thing. Just wonder how good he would be on the left. I think he'd be great dropping off the strikers.

loving wilhemsson's hair

Must be his hair that seems to attracting all the french clubs to track him, I just don't think he''s "worth it".
And Ginola's was much nicer. So I'm told !!!!

Lennon could play on the left...

Wilhelmsson plays everywhere, he's a great player and we should try everything to buy him. Him and Lennon could swap as often as they like, both are slightly different types of wingers with Lennon being more pace and dribbling and Wilhelmsson being more tricks and dribbling - great player.

Wilhelmsson would be a good signing for us but surely we MUST get a left footed player, if Davids is n't at the club next season we will only have one lefty and he's too fat to be first choice!

He's got the summer to rehabilitate himself into shape....

Lennon could play on the left...

Although Lennon can play on the left when he's not getting any joy down the right, would prefer to see him start on the right and actually have some one who is naturally left-footed on theleft.

If we get this trio, we'll definitely be challenging top 4 position next year and we'll also have a cup or two.

really liked toni last night, his running down the channels and holding the ball up was excellent. Thought totti played really well in the second half too, sitting in his best position behind the strikers.

Didn't play too well today. But he's been cayght doing at least 2 men's job in a very weak Tunesia team.

be well trained for us then lol. I don't think he'll come to us anyway, he said he knew where he was gonna play next year, and we've been bidding on other players.

I think there should be enough RBs around who are better than Salty.

I really like the lok of Lahm. Quality left back Impressed me in both Germanys games so far. Still only 22 I think too.
Doubt we will even try to get him tho as he plays for Bayern :(

But bigger and have a much harder shot. Anyway it's a waste of time talking about him as Allwhite said, we won't get him.

been impressed with croatia's centre backs, tudor especially who was rumoured to be a target of ours last year. not sure if he's contracted to anyone else now or sitting on a free. Don't think he'd bench warm though.
